Welcome to Just Adventure + : How to write a Walkthrough
So
You Want To Be Famous?
by Alexander Tait
Have you had sleeplessness
nights and clutched at tuftfulls of hair until finally you’ve reached
that climax-the endgame?
Do your solution notes
sit in an ignored pile on the file?
Do you want the world to
know that "I BEAT THAT GAME!"?
Have you been wallowing
in obscurity for far too long?
The time has come to change
all this! JA+ is committed to giving you the recognition you deserve
for your original walkthroughs. This year begins a campaign to encourage
walkthrough writers for games that fall under the JA+ banner.
JA+ is particularly looking
for walkthroughs for current games like Schizm, Druuna,
Planet of the Apes, and Atlantis 3 (Beyond Atlantis
II ) but we are also looking for walkthroughs for older games
like Phantasmagoria, King’s Quest 8, and Discworld.
Have you written a walkthrough
for a game that is so obscure that few have heard of it? If so, send
it in. With enough awareness of the game, it may become marketable
and available for all.
Some of the walkthroughs
on JA+ are listed as "anonymous". If you have done an original
walkthrough for one of these games, JA+ will replace it with your
walkthrough.
To give walkthrough writers
the recognition they deserve, we ask that you send a picture of yourself,
which will be posted, with your walkthrough.
Walkthroughs are individual,
and as such, let your personality show on them. There is no "required"
format, though I do suggest the following:
- type your walkthrough
using Microsoft Word 97 or earlier - try to explain actions
clearly so that readers can understand what you mean - have headings to allow
readers to find them easily - break long paragraphs
up for easier reading - include your impressions
and opinions if you feel it adds to the walkthrough - include your email address
so that readers can contact you for more information if they are
still stuck
Walkthroughs will be edited
by JA+ staff if there are spelling and grammatical errors, or legal
or "inflammatory" remarks. It may be formatted to assist
reading. Otherwise, the walkthrough will be posted as you intended
it…
Send your walkthroughs

I look forward to hearing
from you.
