Following on from Ignac,
I downloaded this (even shorter) game that was released as a teaser for
the upcoming Ignac 2. I liked this game very much but it is best
viewed as a demo because of its brevity. The graphics are cartoon-type that
reminded me of Warner Brothers’ Bugs Bunny cartoons especially in
the close up sections. This demo has sound and voices, which are all of
a high standard. The puzzles (perhaps it is questionable using the plural)
are inventory related. I’d download this for a short diversion and
as an opportunity to sample the talents of an excellent independent adventure
game maker, Igor Sinkovec. Incidentally, I think PD stands for
“private detective” but it is never revealed. Perhaps with enough
support, Mr. Sinkovec may even consider making a fully-fledged game around
this “demo”. One other thing, you need to double-click to make
actions happen. I spent a very frustrated half-hour with this game until
I worked that out.

Hotel
You have arrived at a hotel to meet a client. They have booked a room for
you. Examine your inventory. In your wallet, you find you ID. Go to the
window.

Window
Speak with the housekeeper. He asks for ID before he will give you the room
key. Show him your ID. He inspects it and gives you the key. Go to the elevator.

Elevator
Press the call button on the control panel. Go to the second floor.

Second floor
Go to the first room on the left. This is your room.

Your room
Use the key on the door. Open the door. The game ends! Never have I been
so disappointed that the game wasn’t longer.
