Hawaii High: The Mystery of the Tiki Walkthrough

Author’s note: The game will play in XP but you have to use compatibility
mode 256 colors, run in 640X480 screen resolution. Disable visual
themes and Turn
off advanced text.

Due to the age of the game I also ran the program in Win98/ME compatibility
but I don’t know if that was necessary.

Click on Adventure – The first icon to click is the Tiki Doll, Click
on it and you get the opening map.

You click on ! objects and they are animated. Click on footsteps
to move through the game.

Click on either footsteps icon and go either to School on left or
Houses on right. Click on rows of houses. Click on all ! and then
on footprints again. Now click on school on left. Click on all !
and then footprints and you are in the front of the school. Click
on all ! and then footprints and you are in the classroom.

In the classroom, "meet Jennifer",
click to the right for feet to go to your desk. At desk click on
all ! and meet Maria.

An important message comes
into class. "Surf’s UP". Now
you are outside and you can either go to the beach or back into the
school to the Library. You can do some looking around in the Library
then you leave and go to the beach. You can use the phone to call
your mother and ask to move back to NYC at the beach.

You can read your book and click on sea-life. Go into the sea and
a large wave brings you the Tiki Doll. After looking at the Tiki
Doll use the footsteps to the right to see the crooks. Use the talk
icon on them. Click on the boat.

Find a map and click on it. You must match the house to find Jennifer’s
house. Jennifer is in her nightgown and you must find her the correct
outfit to go adventuring. Click on Maria and you are in a clearing
with a flashlight. Clicking the feet on the flashlight will show
you the animals on the island. It is dark and you must click on the
eyes to find the animals. When you have found all the animals you
are at the next screen.

Click on the bush and find a mynah bird. You must choose left, right
or straight ahead. Left takes you to the beach and a party. Follow
the footsteps for a game of matching pictures. Right takes you to
a maze where you either face the crooks or wind up at your tent.
The game ends.

Go straight down the middle to continue the game. Maria trips and
this breaks the Tiki doll and you find a note with symbols. Click
on the symbols for animations. Follow footsteps into cave. Clicking
the ! will light the torches, then follow the footsteps again. See
the wall with paintings and click on the symbols that matched the
note and a wall opens.

Enter the cave and click on any artifact and then on the shadow.
Meet the Kahuna of the Cave. Click on the Kahuna and on his fabric/printed
paper. Take the test and you will receive a new Tiki. Follow the
footsteps again and you have to complete a maze. Drag the yellow
box without touching the sides to complete.

Now you see Madam Pele and you must choose your direction again.
Right to Hawaii Paradise Resort and one of the crooks grabs the Tiki
doll and the game ends.

Left to Devastation Trail takes you to the rocks and a telephone.
The phone isn’t working so you click on the water and yuk you are
swimming with the sharks. Click on the sharks. Then click on Maria
and she throws something to the shark and he spits it out. Next you
are out on the beach again.

The crooks are after you but the mynah bird tricks them and they
are in the water with the sharks. It is OK, they escape and give
up their life of crime. Now a helicopter finds you and takes you
to the museum where you are heralded as Youth Ambassadors of Hawaii.

The game ends after this. You have won!
