Gord@k Walkthrough

by Darcy Danielson January about 7 minutes to read

Click through and study
all of the items in the Mission Briefing section.

You will arrive in a garden.
You are standing on a white gazebo. To your left is a machine that says "tokens."
Stepping down you notice a machine to your right, also requiring tokens. Go to
the rear left hedges and bench, hold the spacebar down and click the mouse; you
will move forward and get a pair of sunglasses.

Go around to the back of
the deck, and click on the door to the base. Take the keys. Go to the gate. At
the gate, turn left, hold the spacebar down and click the mouse; you will be taken
to the white bench to the left and get a knife. Go back to the gate, turn right,
hold the spacebar and click, and receive a camera. Go back to the gazebo, use
the knife on the fourth step from the top to get a magnifier. Turn around and
click on the left tree in front of the gate to see the tree dance.

Use the
circle key on the gate. Go outside, notice the gondola and the machine to your
right that requires payment for the gondola to operate. Go inside the gondola.
Turn to the left, pick up the wallet, examine the three items in it, noting the
phone number 1-800-GORD@K, and the Gord@k dollar.

Go back into the garden.
Use the Gord@k dollar on the token machine to get four tokens. The other machine
can be fed the tokens to get four views of the rest of the game, which you don’t
really need, and you should just save the tokens. The views are: (1) a set of
double doors, (2) a small helicopter, (3) a house, and (4) a monster. Go back
to the gondola and put two tokens into the machine, get into the gondola, hit
the handle in front and take a ride.

Get out. Turn left. Follow the path.
You will be at a crossroad. To the right the sign says "plane," to the
left, "wilderness." Go to the left. Go to the double doors. Access inventory
and use the glasses on the doors to see the puzzle. You will see a set of words
on the stones around the door. The correct order is: "TO PASS THROUGH THIS
BORDER PLACE THE PASS WORDS IN CORRECT ORDER."

Go through the doors.
There are two doors, one to the right, one to the left. Don’t click on the door
to the left, it is an energy containment field, which will throw you back outside
the doors (which was also where I had last saved). Also do not click on the back
wall, especially with the spacebar held down, as I got a script error, was dumped
out of the game, and my saved game erased here. (I was using a Mac; this may be
different for PCs.) Go through the right door, into a maze. Go into the following
path: forward, right, forward, right, forward, forward, left, forward and press
on the wall, there should be a hot spot there, use the magnifier with it to get
a map.

From there, turn around, go: forward, right, forward, left, forward,
right, forward, right, forward press on the wall, there should be a hot spot there,
use the magnifier on it to get another map.

Turn around go left, forward,
forward, right, forward, forward, right, forward, right, forward, right, forward,
left, forward, left, forward. This corridor is a rectangle, but if you go in from
the wrong direction, the door you need will disappear.

Push on the wall,
go through the door into the phone room. Take the gas can to the right. Go to
the phone at the left. Enter the phone number from the wallet, using the code
from the personnel files to translate it into numbers, 1-800-467325. This tells
you to do the puzzle on the back wall, and pick up the gas can.

There is
a puzzle on the back wall. It is not necessary for game completion. The purpose
of this puzzle is to put three matching balls in the empty slots next to their
counterparts. This is a trial-and-error puzzle with no fixed solution, as the
balls come out different colors each time, and the arrows guiding their paths
change each time. The best I can give you is a guide on how to set up the last
few arrows on each one that will drop them into the correct slots:

  • Top Ball–Must be red. The top three arrows that are at the far right end
need to all be turned to the right, and the bottom three need to be turned to
the right as well. The middle box has to be set to the arrows that are curved
up in the middle, pointing to the top at an angle and the bottom at an angle.
  • Middle
Ball–Must be green. The last three top arrows are turned to the right, bottom
three straight up and down. The middle box is set to the eight way across setting.
  • Bottom
Ball–Must be red. On the last two arrows to the right, the first one is up and
down, the last one is set to the right. On the bottom two, the first one is to
the right, and the second straight up and down. The middle box should be set just
    like the top one.

With this puzzle complete, and the gas can in inventory,
you get sent back to the front door. Go outside, take the path back to the crossroad.
This time go to the right. Follow the right path. There’s a bike on its side with
the number 8 on it. In front of you is a bridge with the middle gone, and a sign
in front of it. It is a "danger" sign. Walk toward it; the danger sign
will fall down over the side. Go back and get the bike. Use the bike to cross
the bridge. Follow the path to a small helicopter.

At the helicopter, use
the gas can on the small round part in the middle of the helicopter side. Once
the tank is full, click on the seat. A screen will come up; enter the code 2,
4, 8, 16. The helicopter will take off, fly you up into the air, then crash in
a garden of giant mushrooms. Walk over to the house. Walk to the well and climb
down.

You are in a cavern. Go forward, right and through the door. In this
room there are three more doors. The one on the right is a red herring; when you
open it there is evil laughter and no path. The door straight forward has an elevator
you cannot access yet. Go through the left door. You will go upstairs to a kitchen.
Click on the bowl on the table and get a trunk key. Don’t go through the brown
door; it will just take you back outside. Go upstairs to the TV room. Click on
the TV and watch the show. Click on the picture on the wall, and notice there’s
a wall safe. Go upstairs to the bedroom, click on the picture and watch the animation.
Go upstairs again to the attic. Use the trunk key on the trunk. It opens; read
the message on the lid: "Rise and shine at seven, go to bed at eleven, eat
lunch at noon, take a nap at two." Go back down to the TV room, and enter
the code 7, 11, 12, 2 into the safe and get the digital key.

Go back downstairs
to the elevator. Use the digital key on the lock to access the puzzle. The object
is to rotate the red line in the center all the way around the disk, moving the
outer disks per the game instructions so that they are all moved so that the bars
in them all line up. Try to get the only piece with a straight line, the fourth
from the right, in place first, then work all the others back into place around
that. When done, click on the elevator doors, go inside and push the down button.

Go
forward to the final puzzle. It is a circuit puzzle. Click on the middle box;
you will have little time to read the instructions. You must turn all the boxes
green. Gord@k will block your moves by changing the boxes into blue @ symbols.
There are two and/or knobs, one across the bottom, and one along the side. When
pressed, they change from "and" to "or" and vice versa. They
also will shoot beams across whatever row they are on and can be moved across
the rows. Move very fast, before Gord@k can get more than half changed over. You
must win this game; if not, hit escape or quit really fast, in order to keep your
saved game as the game will delete your saved game and you will have to start
over from the beginning of the game. When you complete this puzzle, you have won
the game and beaten Gord@k.
