The story follows Lalande, a young valet de chambre, who is summoned by Alexandre Bontemps early on the morning of the summer solstice in 1685.
A strange pamphlet has been discovered, bearing at the bottom the title of Aesop’s Fables, “the frogs and Jupiter.” It was written by a schemer who threatens to set fire to the castle.
Satirical pamphlets and clues are scattered through the castle and surrounding areas. If they are pieced together correctly, they could save the castle from its fate.
The player has until nightfall to investigate.
