The Filmmaker (2010)

The Carson Stiles Gateway Theater has been closed for years after a series of murders. You receive an invitation by mail to its grand re-opening, and the story follows a first-person horror adventure as you investigate the haunted theater and uncover its secret past.

The game aims to capture the look and feel of classic B-grade Hollywood films, with cheesy music and voice acting to match. Alongside exploring the theater itself, you are drawn inside several movies during the course of the game.

Most of the gameplay consists of adventure-style puzzles, including inventory puzzles and standalone logic puzzles.
