When the wealthy Baron Augustus Reinhold dies, his will reveals a hidden treasure in the village of St. Mystere. Unable to find it themselves, his family asks Professor Layton and his apprentice, Luke, for help.
After they arrive, the search is interrupted by the suspicious death of another member of the Reinhold family. With two mysteries to solve, Layton and Luke must investigate the village and work through its many puzzles, riddles, and brainteasers to uncover the truth.
