Observer (2017)

The year is 2084, and after the Nanophage and the War, many people turn to drugs, VR, and neural implants to escape their reality. You are Daniel Lazarski, an elite neural detective known as an Observer, working for a corporate-funded police unit that hacks into suspects’ minds.

When a mysterious message arrives from your estranged son, a high-level engineer at Chiron Corporation, you travel to the Class C slums of Krakow to investigate. By entering the minds of criminals and victims, you search for clues while reliving their darkest fears.

This is a first-person psychological horror story set in a dark, dystopian future. It features Rutger Hauer as Detective Lazarski and was developed by Bloober Team, the creators of Layers of Fear.
