CSI: NY – The Game (2008)

Players alternate as detectives Mac Taylor and Stella Bonasera while solving original murder cases written by the television show writers. The player also meets the coroner and the lab techs from the show, with voices provided by the real-life actors and actresses.

This entry in the CSI series is a hidden-object game with features similar to traditional adventure games. The player searches crime scenes for evidence, then examines and analyses it back at the lab using a mini-game interface with various instruments and tools.

Suspects and witnesses are questioned through dialogue trees, and a hint system helps keep the player on track. The game uses 2D still scenes with hotspots, a point-and-click interface, and music from the television show.

It shipped with four cases, with a fifth promised for early 2009.
