Jade and Pey’j care for the children of Hillys who were orphaned by the DomZ. When Jade runs out of money to keep the shield protecting them running, she takes a photography job cataloguing the species of Hillys for a science museum.

She is then recruited by the IRIS Network, which suspects that the Alpha Sections are behind the planet-wide disappearances. Jade’s first target of investigation is an Alpha Sections factory.
