Quern is a Myst-like first-person puzzle adventure. It has a captivating story, beautiful graphics and unique music. It also pays homage to Jules Verne. Developer Zadbox is seeking your support in order to finish the game.
The universe of Quern is a structured system of worlds all connected to each other. The player assumes the role of a stranger who has been trapped in one of these worlds: a mysterious island.
The game presents an open world in which you may wander and experiment freely. The tasks you solve are not managed as separate, individual and sequential units, but as a complex entity. Quern creates a surreal atmosphere intended to invoke curiosity about the rules of this world, and urge the player to dive deeper and deeper into its secrets.
You’ll be guided through the game by two beings: a scientist and an ancient spirit. Each approaches the island’s mysteries differently. Which one to follow is up to you.
If all goes according to plan, Quern – Undying Thoughts will be released in Q4 2016 for PC, Mac and Linux. The game has been Greenlit, and the Kickstarter campaign runs until July 18, 2015. Your backing would be appreciated.
