Al Emmo and the Lost Dutchman’s Mine Gets Enhanced
Enhanced edition of the 2006 wild west adventure game now available.
In 2006 Himalaya Studios released the wild west adventure game Al Emmo and the Lost Dutchman’s Mine, a contemporary adventure that went back to the “golden age” of adventure gaming with hand-drawn VGA graphics, comedic storyline, and an icon-driving interface. The game stars Al, a dweeby, middle-aged man that is unlucky in love and live: he has just gotten wrapped up in a thousand-year-old Aztec cruse while trying to impress a lounge singer.
Years later, Himalaya Studios has given Al Emmo and the Lost Dutchman’s Mine a shiny new look on life with an Enhanced Edition. So what’s been implemented in the Enhanced Edition? Al Emmo gets a new voice actor, classic, 2-D animated cutscenes, 20 achievements to complete, a Sierra-style scoring system that reaches 500 points to win, higher-resolution graphical options for more detailed characters, and UI and graphical tweaks for enhanced gamplay.
Adventure gamers can pick up the Enhanced Edition of Al Emmo and the Lost Dutchman’s Mine from various digital distribution sites, with some coming with the game soundtrack.
