Her Interactive has promised
us a more in-depth look at this title during this year’s E3, but for now we’ll have to be satisfied
with sharing what little information we do have on the newest Nancy
Drew adventure – The Haunted Carousel.

The ninth game in the Nancy Drew series transpires in one of my
favorite game settings – an amusement park. The Captain’s
Cove Amusement Park on the Jersey shore has been witness to some
strange occurrences lately. First, the lead horse was stolen from
the antique carousel, then the roller coaster lost its power causing
a serious accident and now the merry-go-round is mysteriously starting
up in the middle of the night.

Who else but Nancy Drew (and you!) is capable of unraveling this
mystery? So with the park closed down for an insurance investigation,
the super teen sleuth sets to interrogating the park employees:

Harlan Bishop – this recently hired security guard seems to be evasive at times.

Ingrid Corey – the forgetful chief engineer who believes the park is cursed.

Elliot Chen – skilled, but procrastinating art director.

Joy Trent – the office manager who believes the new park owner is behind the strange happenings.

As the search deepens, Nancy will learn about the lonely craftsman
who carved the carousel horses and the sad history behind the death
of Daryl Trent, the park’s former owner and his attempt to
reunite his estranged daughter with her past by hiding puzzles
and riddles throughout the park.
