How to open the puzzle in the gazebo?
Hint:
Turn the combination to 029. This is the number inside the mouth of the dragon
near the museum gate.
How to
solve the gear puzzle in the gazebo
Hint:
In seven moves or less, move the black gears to the bottom row and the white
gears to the top row. When the gears are in place, turn the crank on the right.
You must use only one of the extra pegs and use only diagonal moves to succeed.
If you can't find the solution, follow these instructions:
Before you move anything, draw a picture of the gears and pegs. Label the empty peg on the left "A". Label the empty peg on the right "B". From left to right, number the black gear positions "1 - 2 - 3" and the white gear positions "4 - 5 - 6". Then, referring to your picture, move the puzzle gears in the following order:

Hint:

The symbol for the green tile is on the ground behind the large stone sculpture beside the path. The symbol for the red-brown tile is on the back of the wooden bench. To see the white symbol, look through the stone arch towards the museum gate. Look between the stonehenge monoliths to see this symbol carved on the side of the hill. A symbol is on the wall next to the large urn on the brick staircase. A symbol is above the door at the top of the brick staircase.
It's too
dark to see in the tunnel underneath Stonehenge
Hint:
Just inside the door at the bottom of the stairs, on the left hand side, there
is an electrical panel. Open the panel by pushing the red button. Flip the
switch to turn on the lights.
You need
directions through the tunnel underneath Stonehenge
Hint:
To reach the end of the tunnel, go left at each intersection you encounter
until you reach the door at the end of the tunnel.
You need
help with the Egyptian ship on the Underground Lake.
Hint:
Disengage the crank mechanism at the rear of the boat by pulling down on the
lever. Engage mechanism at the front of the boat by pushing forward on the
lever. Move the boat across the lake by clicking on the rotating crank.
You need
help opening the double doors at the end of the tunnel.
Hint:
There is a box on the wall next to the doors, click on it to open it. You
must line up the carved heads to match the pattern on the doors - a diagonal
line going from the lower left to the upper right. Click on the arrows around
the puzzle to move the carved heads. When you have arranged the heads in the
proper order, the doors will open to reveal an elevator.
Museum Office, Workshop, Professor's Bedroom, Main Entry Hall
You can't find the entrance to the Professor's Bedroom.
Hint:
Click on the hanging tapestry to reveal a secret passage to an elevator. The
elevator will take you to the Professor's Bedroom.
You're looking for things to do in the Professor's Bedroom.
Hint:
You need to read the Professor's journal for important clues. Look at the
clock on the bedside table, too. Watch out for an Ixupi in this room!
You can't
figure out what to do with the clock in the Professor's Bedroom.
Hint:
The clock in the Professor's Bedroom is a representation of the big clock
in the clock tower. You don't have to do anything with this small clock, but
you must solve the big clock puzzle!
You're
trying to open the chest of drawers in the Workshop.
Hint:
Click on the drawing of the basilisk's skull on the workbench and note the
numbers of the bones. Open the drawers that are NOT listed on the drawing,
then turn the key to reveal a hidden cupboard beneath the chest of drawers.
You can't
open the gold door with the purple star that leads off the Main Entry Hall.
Hint:
The answer to this puzzle is on page 16 of the book "Egyptian Hieroglyphs
Explained". Arrange on the symbols on the door to represent the hieroglyphs
for North, South, East and West. North should be on the top, South on the
bottom, East on the right and West on the left.
You don't
have "Egyptian Hieroglyphs Explained" in your Flashback.
Hint:
This book is with the professor's body on the shore of the Underground Lake.
You're
trying to figure out the transforming masks in the Main Entry Hall.
Hint:
Open all the masks, you may find a pot. Make sure that you try the inner masks
as well as the outer masks.
The fountain
in the Main Entry Hall doesn't have water in it!
Hint:
Click on the stones at the base of the fountain. One will move to reveal a
faucet. Turn the faucet to start the fountain. Watch out for an Ixupi here!
You can't
open the tall door in the Main Entry Hall or the small secret doors.
Hint:
You will never be able to open the door near the desk. This is the door from
the outside and it's locked. Most of the small secret doors near the floor
are one-way and cannot be entered from the Entry Hall. Only the small doors
near the desk and the fountain can be opened from this side, but only after
you've entered the main hall from the other side.

What color is the Skeleton dial in the Subterranean World? Hint: The skeleton dial in the Subterranean World should be set to yellow.
You can't
open the breaker box in the Museum Power Plant.
Hint:
You won't be able to open the breaker box until you capture all the Ixupi
except the electrical one. Once you capture nine Ixupi, you will see that
the breaker box is blown open.
You don't
know what to do with the piece of paper in Beth's hand.
Hint:
The slip of paper in Beth's hand is torn from page 17 in "Egyptian Hieroglyphs
Explained". This is the fourth riddle. Once you have this slip of paper,
you can operate the guillotine in the Man's Inhumanity to Man Room.
You can't
get close to the generator because the electrical Ixupi attacks you.
Hint:
Unlike the other Ixupi, once this guy's in the generator, he's not going to
move around. He will stay there until you capture him with his pot. Once you
capture him, the game will end.

There are two small staircases leading up to the stage. To get to the Projection
Room, take the left one onto the stage. Go into the door at the top of the
stairs and follow the passage to the next set of stairs and up into the Projection
Room.
Want to watch a movie in the Theater?
Hint:
In the Projection Room, you will find a film projector. Click on the top reel
until the film is wound tight. Then click on the green button to start the
movie.
You can't
get open the small doorway from the Theater to the Projection Room.
Hint:
Press the blue button to the left of the door. If you enter however, you can't
come back this way, it is a one way door.
Need a
hint on opening the door with the letter-wheels?
Hint:
Turn the wheels until the name "Geoffrey" is spelled out on the
right spoke of the circle.
You can't
find the Clock Tower?
Hint:
You will find a passage leading up to the clock tower when you open the door
with the letter-wheels. You'll find this door in the passage behind the stage
in the Theater.
You want
to know what time it is.
Hint:
Use the video surveillance console in the Clock Tower to look at the outside
and see the time.

hint about setting the clock.
Hint:
Read the Professor's journal in his bedroom for an important clue.
Still having problems with the clock puzzle?
Hint:
The clock must be set to 5:30. Use the chains in the staircase to set the
clock. The chains on the right move the minute hand and the chains on the
left move the hour hand. The easiest way to solve this puzzle is to listen
for the chimes. Pull the chain on the far right until it rings one chime.
This indicates that the clock is on the half hour. Then pull the second chain
on the right until you hear the melodic chimes. This indicates that the gold
cuckoo clock faces have rotated. There are four different rotations for the
gold faces. You will have to go up into the clock tower to see the results
of pulling the chains. When you have successfully set the clock, one of the
gold faces will open and you will find a pot in its mouth.
Need help
with the jukebox in the Clock Tower?
Hint:
You can play all the songs if you want, but set the jukebox to B-2, the Anansi
Spider Song before you leave the tower.

Hint:
You must click on the tiles to rotate them until there are three continuous
grooves from the top to the bottom. To make it easier, start at the top and
work your way down, matching each successive piece to the previous one. When
the puzzle is complete, three balls will roll down the grooves and the door
will open.
A little hint on the sarcophagus and obelisks puzzle. Hint:
Talk to the sphinx. He knows all, sees all, tells all. Click on his chest.
Stairs will open, climb them to get closer to the sphinx's lips.
If you don't have a clue, read the following paragraph.
Use the book "Egyptian Hieroglyphics Explained" to find the hieroglyphics for the names Aakhunaten and Nefertiti. Turn the hieroglyphics on the obelisks to represent these names and the sarcophagus will open.

Hint:
Click on the round button near the bull's head to start the puzzle. The lyre
will play a pattern on the strings that you must duplicate. If you miss one,
you will have to start over again. The sequence is random and will be different
each time. The best way to solve this puzzle is to number the strings from
one to eight and write down the numbers as they are played.

the planets are aligned, look at the floor to get another important riddle.

help finding the Fortune Teller.
Hint:
Go back to the Tombs and Curses room and enter the secret passages by rotating
the green flower on the green wall of the room. In the secret passages you
will find a small wooden door with a painting on the wall next to it. When
you click on this painting, you will see a jumbled picture. Click on the tiles
in the picture to rotate them and move them around to form a picture of a

Hint:
One of the pieces has a blue wire that not only loops around the center, but
has no rivets. Place this on the north position. One of the pieces has a green
wire that has rivets on both ends and makes a ninety degree bend. Place this
piece in the northwest position. One of the pieces has a pink wire that loops
around the center wires and ends with both pink connectors side by side. This
piece goes in the southeast position. One of the pieces has each wire looping
back so that each color has 2 side by side pieces. This pieces goes in the
southwest position. One piece has a green wire that goes straight through
the center. Place this piece in the west position. The last piece has yellow
neighboring pieces on the opposite side of blue neighboring pieces. These
pieces go in the south position.

can't work the guillotine in the Man's Inhumanity to Man Room.
Hint:
You will not be able to release the guillotine until you have found Beth's
body and read the final riddle.

Hint:
The dials should be set to the number of inches that the man will fall. See
the plaque for a clue on the number.

with the door puzzle in the Puzzle Room.
Hint:
The object of this puzzle is to deduce what symbols are hidden behind the
small panel at the left of the game. When you pull the lever, the tiles will
be mixed up randomly and hidden behind the little panel. Click on the tiles
in the visible column to change the symbols. Flip the switch at the bottom
of the column when the tiles are arranged the way you want. The score for
the column will be displayed at the top: 1 point for each tile that is correct
but in the wrong place, 10 points for each tile that is correct and in the
proper place. Work down the columns from left to right until you have the
correct symbols in their proper places. The panel will snap open when you
have the correct arrangement. A small door will then open in the wall.
Here's
a small hint on the pinball machine puzzle in the Puzzle Room.
Hint:
Number the spaces from left to right, one through nine. Then make a chart
with one through three on the top, four to six in the middle and seven through
nine on the bottom. Then, draw arrows that show the direction the balls move
when you flip them. It is then easy to see how to flip them to get them in
the right holes.

Hint:
To solve the puzzle, flip the balls in the following order. If the ball doesn't
go in the target socket the first time you flip it, use the other flipper
