Pwned! the geek anthem film now live on Kickstarter

Follows seven gamer friends on a cross-country road trip adventure of epic proportions

SAN FRANCISCO, CALIFORNIA (November 6, 2012)  ChaosNgn Productions and Director James Weeks are proud to announce the Kickstarter launch for the film Pwned!  The film launched earlier today on the crowd funding website.

The team has been in pre-production on the geek magnum opus Pwned! for nearly eight months, and is attempting to provide the same quality entertainment that a large Hollywood studio would, but doing so in such a way that it is produced and funded by the masses.

The film follows seven gamer friends on a cross-country road trip adventure of epic proportions.

"This is a movie for geeks by geeks, without the Hollywood mess. We are really trying to do something different here, and without our fellow geeks it just won''t happen," says James Weeks, director of Pwned!

What happens when seven gamer friends actually leave the house and set out on a quest across the country to find their missing friend and repair a guild mishap of epic proportions? Utter chaos!

The Pwned! crew has recruited some very talented folks. The crew includes:

Ken Allen - Video game and film composer. His credits include the original Space Quest and King''s Quest titles. Ken is currently a producer on Trion Worlds'' RIFT.

Luke Kearney - Stunt man extraordinaire. His credits include the Batman films, Surrogates, Terminator Salvation, Inception, and Star Wars: Attack of the Clones.

Nancy Hayes: A casting agent in San Francisco, Nancy has worked on such films as Scream, Toy Story, Interview with the Vampire, High Crimes, and Mrs. Doubtfire.

The team has also drummed up support from established bands such as In This Moment, A Sound of Thunder, and Nightwish.

For feature and cameo roles, the team reached out to actors prominent in the geek culture. Already on the bill are Peter Podgursky and Lejon Stewart of the popular YouTube show Meter Maids, Nicole Wyland of Video Game High School, Nina Harada, and Nick Wilson.

The film will be shot on Arri Alexa Digital and will be a financed via a month-long Kickstarter campaign which began November 6, 2012.

This movie promises to be the geek anthem of the MMO and internet era.
