Pledge Quest II: Noodle Shop of Horrors
Two fans help get the word out about Two Guys from Andromeda's SpaceVenture stretch goals
October 8, 2012 - For the past several months, the Two Guys from Andromeda (creators of Sierra's classic Space Quest series) have been working on their upcoming SpaceVenture game. Now, two fans have released a retro point-and-click adventure to help spread the word about the Two Guys' new project.
The fan game is titled Pledge Quest II: Noodle Shop of Horrors; the same team released Pledge Quest I during the SpaceVenture Kickstarter earlier this year. In the sequel, players uncover a foul conspiracy that threatens the very future of the SpaceVenture project, and soon find themselves traveling through time and space to save the Two Guys' new game from certain doom.
The intent behind the fan game is to spread the word about the Two Guys' SpaceVenture (while gently encouraging players to pledge toward the project's ongoing stretch goals). Along the way, Pledge Quest II offers up a low-res onslaught of references to classic adventure games and science fiction franchises alike.
