Travian Games Wins Award for Best German Publisher at German Game Developer Awards
Publisher of browser-based games comes ahead against competition.
The award for Best German Publisher at the 8th German Developer Awards in Dusseldorf, Germany was given to Travian Games , beating out strong competition. Travian Games is well-known to not only be a developer for popular browser-based games, but also serve as a publisher for other external developers.
Travian Games Managing Director Florian Bohn radiated joy as he accepted the prize: "We are more than happy to have received this award. It's a tremendous honor for all our employees in Munich, our subsidiaries and especially for the Travian Publishing and their global development studios. Above all, we are pleased that a jury of more than 300 industry insiders has recognized an online browser game as the Best German Game Publisher. The fact that we were nominated and won among other well-known and successful German publishers is fantastic and a testimony to our economically sustainable and product-oriented strategy."
As many as 600 invited guests were present at the Awards, with 14 winners receiving awards in a variety of catagories. A number of notable German members of the interactive entertainment industry were celebrating the awards until the early hours of the morning, and deemed the awards a great success.
