Daedalic Entertainment (www.daedalic.de) announced today the new release date for their upcoming fantasy-adventure game The Dark Eye - Chains of Satinav. The postponing of the date has allowed Daedalic Entertainment to polish the performance of the game as well as make additional improvements. The new release date has been set for June 22, 2012.

Daedalic's CEO Carsten Fichtelmann explains: “The additional development time will definitely pay off for our fans. We made a huge progress in terms of performance and stability. Furthermore we will use the time to improve the animations and the cut-scenes.”

In The Dark Eye - Chains of Satinav, players take on the role of the young trapper Geron from the northern kingdom of Andergast. Geron gets caught up in a conspiracy, one that involves a mysterious plague of crows that attack humans. The king of Andergast recruits Geron into the job of being a bird catcher to end the plague, which serves as the start of one large journey for Geron.

Players must lead Geron on a series of adventures through the uncharted lands of Aventuria, with hand-drawn backgrounds, engage in tricky riddles, meet elaborately-animated characters and witness a gripping story. The Dark Eye - Chains of Satinav will be available exclusively on the PC.
