Retro Adventure News Flash

Gemini Rue on iPhone / iPad, new Blackwell game announced, and GDC / PAX appointments

PRESS RELEASE posted on 27 FEB 2013 12:00am by Karla

February 27, 2013 - Fans of retro adventure games, rejoice! Today we bring you news of two projects currently in the works from indie developer/publisher extraordinaire, Wadjet Eye Games:

1) Gemini Rue is coming to iPhone / iPad this spring!

This IGF winner from developer Joshua Nuernberger was a breakout hit when it debuted in 2011, picking up an IGN Editor's Choice Award among other accolades. Now it's going to be Wadjet Eye's first ever App Store release! The interface has been tweaked for maximum comfort on iOS devices, but the game itself is the same gritty sci-fi/noir thriller that's wowed PC gamers for the past two years.

2) New Blackwell game in development!

Wadjet Eye founder Dave Gilbert is hard at work on the next installment of his Blackwell mystery series: Blackwell Epiphany. In snow-blanketed New York City, spirit medium Rosa Blackwell and her spectral sidekick Joey Malone team up against a malevolent force willing to rip apart a person's very soul to get what it wants. That's all we can say for now, but stay tuned, because Blackwell Epiphany promises to be the series' darkest and most exciting adventure yet!

3) PAX East and GDC appointments!

Dave will be at PAX East in Boston March 22-24, followed by GDC in San Francisco March 25-29. He'll be showing the iPad version of Gemini Rue and more than happy to answer your questions about Wadjet Eye's adventures (heh) in indie development and publishing.
