Herald is set during an alternate 19th Century in which the West is united as a colonial superpower: the Protectorate. Its choice-driven narrative tells the story of Devan Rensburg, a man of mixed heritage who becomes steward onboard the HLV Herald, a merchant ship sailing for his country of birth. Set in a time of widespread inequality and injustice, the game challenges you, as Devan, to uncover a great mystery surrounding the Herald's perilous voyage.

The current release of Herald covers Books I and II, available for Windows, Mac and Linux on Steam, GOG and the Humble Store. Books III and IV are in pre-production and will be released at a later date.
