The creations of Benoit Sokal have served as the blueprints for Amerzone and the Syberia games, all of which represent major titles in Microïds' adventure games catalog. These works of art will now be among those on display at the exhibition Art in Video Games: The French Inspiration to be held September 25-March 6, 2016 at Art Ludique-Le Musée in Paris.

In an era of computerized design, Sokal continues to use pencil sketches and watercolors to bring life and rich artistic value to his fantastic, mysterious gaming worlds. This is particularly true of the Syberia series.

Concerning the exhibition, Sokal has said: The way in which video games are perceived is changing in people's minds. The Art Ludique museum has always showed its imaginative streak by focusing the spotlight on the masterpieces of popular culture, and this exhibition is no exception by exclusively paying tribute to the people that design video game worlds. It gives me an immense feeling of pride to see some of the artwork that was instrumental in masterminding the Syberia series, both past and future, displayed in the company of other leading video games titles produced in France.

Okay, now...you didn't think I'd post this sort of thing without providing new info about Syberia 3, did you? Click here.
