Balzath: Don't Trust the Signs, the first effort from indie developer Helium Games, is a single-player action-adventure game. It runs the gamut from combat to quiet puzzle-solving.
Meet the Gloupsies. Cute and peaceful creatures they are, living happy and innocent Gloupsie lives on a distant planet. Well, most of the time. Or maybe that's some of the time...
Meet the demons. It seems they attack the Gloupsies once a month -- always on Fridays, no less -- and destroy everything. The Gloupsies rebuild -- always in the same place, mind you -- and the demons destroy. Rebuild, destroy, rebuild, destroy. Over and over.
Doesn't sound like too much fun...but what to do?
Then one day, an old stranger named Folm shows up. He's had experience with demon attacks, you see, and tells the Gloupsies that first, they'll have to relocate their village. Duh.
Then, they'll have to fight evil with evil. Folm has brought something along that will do the job nicely...
Say hello to Bazalth.
