Inspired by Ace Attorney and Zero Escape games, Exogenesis: Perils of Rebirth from indie developer Kwan is an adventure game/visual novel hybrid that combines point-and-click gameplay with the focus on storytelling found in visual novels.

Exogenesis takes place in post-apocalyptic Japan. It's the story of wasteland treasure-hunter Yu Sayashi, who embarks on a quest to reanimate his late sister.

Six chapters are planned, to be comprised of 250,000+ words and numerous puzzles, translating into at least 20 hours of gameplay. The story will involve moral choices; your decisions will determine characters' fates. Multiple endings and branching story paths will offer high replay value.

The game's graphics will portray a stunning post-apocalyptic Japan and include real landmarks. Puzzles will be mind-boggling and contextual, making sense within the game's story and environments.

Exogenesis: Perils of Rebirth will be released Q4 2014 on PC, Mac and Linux. The Kickstarter campaign runs until May 22, 2014. Developer Kwan would appreciate your support!
