With Lifeless Planet, the goal of indie developer David Board (aka Stage 2 Studios) is to put the "adventure" back in "action-adventure."
After an expedition to a distant, allegedly life-bearing planet experiences a rough landing, the player's character discovers that the planet is actually barren and inhospitable. Further, his fellow astronauts are missing and his oxygen tank is leaking.
As he explores his surroundings, he finds an abandoned Soviet-era laboratory and encounters a strange and deadly phenomenon from which he's saved by a mysterious young woman.
Is the woman really there, or some sort of hallucination? Is she an ally? Is he really on another planet or is this part of an elaborate hoax? Has he uncovered a Cold War secret 20 light-years from Earth
Lifeless Planet has been successfully funded through Kickstarter. It will initially be released on PC and Mac; hopefully, other platforms will follow.
