I'm happy to announce that my adventure game, Other Worlds, has finally been completed.  It has entered the final testing phase today and the official release date is December 1st, 2004.
For those of you who don't know..
Other Worlds is a traditional game which took me 3.5 years to complete. It is a 3rd person, point & click adventure that looks and plays like the late 80s Sierra / LucasArts productions. My intention was to create the best amateur freeware game ever (in terms of gameplay; no way I can compete with Tierra's graphics, sound or animation).

Features:

-More than 150 locations to explore
-More than 40 characters to interact with
-Dozens of inventory items
-The infamous A.L.K.I.S. interface (A.L.K.I.S. stands for Advanced Language Kit and Interface System)
-An intriguing, humorous story full of surprises and plot twists
-A large number of challenging puzzles

It is a fantasy story of a young woman going on a quest to find her missing friend, and discovering a lot more.

Here are some screenshots:

Now that the game is complete, I want to add three more people to my beta-testing team (which includes important members of the adventure gaming community such as Aya_Brea and Valadmin). That's because I want some players who will play the game from scratch, without skipping sequences they have seen dozens of times before. They might spot something we have missed.
The perfect "candidate"
should be fluent in English. I would prefer it if he/she had some experience in retro adventure games, such as the late 80s - early 90s Sierra & LucasArts titles. Those who will be up for it will receive the CD version of the game with a printed manual.
Unfortunately, I will be away for a week so I will reply to you when I get back. I will send  you the link to download the game and you will then have three weeks to test it. You will be given a walkthrough for your convenience. The important thing is to realize that I'm not looking for people who will just "take a look", instead I would appreciate players who are really interested in testing my title for any kind of bugs or errors. You will be asked to write a small report and fill in a questionnaire.
Thanks in advance, your help will be very appreciated.

Right here!
Which reminds me, all those who reply please post a bit about your adventure gaming experience, and your e-mail address.

Oh. Well, I guess I'm not the most experienced gamer...
I did play most of the classic Sierra/Lucasarts games(all the King's Quest, QFG, LSL+MI games, Maniac Mansion, DotT....I'm sure I forgot something...)
I've played a lot of early/mid nineties games....does that count?
I have only played adventures for 8 years....but I'm catching up.
I have a huge collection of games which I'm working my way through.

And I'm quite fluent in the English language...can't you tell?

I would really like to test the game...so...please?

Hey,

I started playing adventure games like 10 years ago.
My first adventure game was Larry, and then followed all the other adventures from Sierra,Lucasarts and the rest. I think i played over 90% of all point and click adventures that exists.

Furthermore I played 2 amateur games:Cirque du Zale(good, but was missing soms things)and Zak McKracken 2(not so good)
With all respect to the creators of these homemade adventure games, they can hardly match with commercial adventure games.Which is understandable because most of the time they make these games beside their job or study.

What cought my attention was that you worked 3.5
years on this game, and looking at the features(150! locations to name something) i therefor expect this to be a great game.

Alkis, I'd love to try it! I think I can find some time to thoroughly play it during November. As for my experience... ask Aya

I dunno, something about Agustin tells me he is not an experienced adventure game player.
You better let me beta test your game instead!  I may suck at the guess the pic contests, but I have played quite a few of the classics in the genre.

Good luck with this. Sorry I can't beta-test - would do but can't guarantee the time to do it. Playing Parrot's game is another matter because other people will have done the hard work already

I'd like to have a copy when it goes out for sale, though.
