Great review! We need more games like this

I think it's worth mentioning that The Residents is the most mysterious band ever. They've been playing for over 30 years and nobody knows anything about them. No interviews, no pictures, nada.

Anyone seen/played Freak Show (I haven't)?

Do you suppose they could be some famous band in disguise?

BTW Val, my name is spelled "Necasek"

I forgot my sig.

I have it but never got around playing it. I think it's more kind of a multimedia presentation but still shares a very similar design with Bad Day. It came earlier.

You know, that would be an interesting possibility! I find their music very unique and hard to compare though (and very hard to get into for that matter).

You mean you're not Mr. "N" ?

Never played the game by the way - my loss I suppose. I guess I'll have to hunt up a copy and give it a play. Nice review by the way (and just what is this: Looking directly at QuickTime movies all about... damn I'm glad I'm not the only one who does that...

What?

I think Bad Day On The Midway is far and away the most "game like" of the Residents releases.  Besides Freak Show, they also put out another multimedia title called Gingerbread Man.

Thanks - and I think those QuickTime movies on game CDs are just begging to be viewed!

That's a good review, Michael!  I just got a copy of The Dark Eye from eBay, but I'm not ready for that creepiness just yet.

If you like Edgar Allan Poe at all, then The Dark Eye is a must play. And even if you don't, the game is worth seeing just for the sake of it being so different.

Val - thanks for the correction!
