I honestly wonder why some people actually visit this site at all sometimes.

Probably to talk about Adventures.
At a guess
Some people have no sense of humour

But, I also think that Randy should be free to do whatever he wants with his site. JA+ is just slipping down the slippery slope from first rate adventure site to fifth rate gaming site. In a lot of ways, people's strong reactions to these off genre activities just proves what a beloved site this is within the community.

This competetion or giveaway has NOTHING to do with anything other than Sony saw it fit to give beta keys to JA+ - besides, nothing has happened about it as it stands.
You give me some proof that it's "sliding down the slope"... just from one single review. Unless you've got some kind of hidden agenda you're not telling anyone about, eh? Look at the amount of recent pure adventure reviews and tell me that it's so.
Personally, I'm of the idea that if I don't like something, I don't go there. Perhaps some people should stand by their word and do the same rather than making futile "stands" on the forums which do absolutely nothing to help anyone.
edit - I'd also love to know what you mean by diluted with so many great adventures of late. Since late last year there has been some great stuff, far more and of far better quality than the space between 2000-2003.
It's getting better and JA+'s reviews and stance reflects that. If you check over the old reviews there are FAR FAR MORE action-adventures reviewed around that time than there are now.
One single humourous review does not a whole site make. And if it really bothers you that much, why even post here?
