Status : Online | Is what?? msadv?? tell us........ Maybe the mods here also enjoy reading the posts as much as we do........but actually.....I had an experience here where I innocently made a new topic, and some others here thought it was wrong......BUT....They didn't jump down my throat for it or kick me out.....they politely explained to me what could happen, which I didn't know at the time I posted the topic. I say these forums here are the greatest. And I have a feeling we won't be seeing this 'fish' person again.....he/she is a one-time poster I bet.... >

I think our forum is fine. But I DO think many threads tend to consist of long posts by a small subset of members. Overall I find the tone her more argumentative than Boomers. Just my opinion.

GB does not allow any debating, arguing, differing of (mods) opinions, etc. Which forum is more entertaining, more fun, much less uptight, not policed? You make the choice. I know that I have.

DEBATE is the operative word. JA Forum is self-regulating, more or less. I've said a few really stupid things, but I was able to delete the post ..... aaaagh .... We ALL say things we wish we hadn't LOL don't think you can on GB ..... it's there forever LOL
Everyone "mouths off" at times. THIS is LIFE.

There there - you can sleep now. See it's just a speck on the covers... I'll flick it off and toss it out the window for ya. Don't you worry about that little thing ever again.

Status : Online | Dimi - I especially admire your passion for point and click 2D adventures even though I don't agree with you. It takes fortitude to post your strong feelings when others disagree. I don't usually tend to have a strong position because I can almost always see both sides of an issue (that or I'm just wishy-washy in general). If someone doesn't like the way a thread is going - just ignore it and post to one you like.
Also - I think sometimes people come across in the written word differently and their tone is misinterpreted. I'm not sure 'flame' comes to my mind about this forum. Let me tell you the one time I was 'flamed'. I bought Neverwinter Nights and it was choppy so I posted to their support forum for tips. One guy said 'stop your *expletive deleted* whining and just play the game'. No one has ever been that rude or obnoxious here.

Status : Online | Off and on I visit this forum but have never posted. The regulars dominate the forum solely because they put in the effort to post often. This does not inhibit or trample upon my right to post. I do not feel intimidated by the regulars, nor do I feel that they are blowhards. Sometimes, I do find the personal banter to be self-serving or boring, but that is the nature of things. I enjoy this forum and especially like the in-depth adventure gaming debates.

Throw into the mix the fact that English is not the native language of a fair number of members (incl. me) and the occasional misunderstanding is virtually guaranteed.

That was not very helpful Being on the "other end" of a tech support forum can be frustrating (I have some experience with that) but it's much better to just keep yer mouth shut when you have nothing helpful to say
I forgot my sig.
