Status : Online | From my experience visiting JA+, they seem to focus more on commercial release adventure (or non-adventure) games rather than the short amateur adventure games. There was a reviewer by the name of Audrey Wells I think who used to review these types of games. I remember reviews for the Larry Vales series and a couple of others.
I've played through most of the RON games and found them to be fun! I couldn't get a couple of them to work though as the engine they were made with was an older version I guess and my computer didn't like it. Said I needed a graphic driver or something like that. For people who haven't tried them though, they should!

(or non-adventure) games rather than the short amateur adventure games but not anymore! so you think RotN is a good series and you say ppl should try it but the only adventurers who know about it by know are the 25 ppl who read this thread so far, whilst it should be the hundreds of adventurers who are reading JAs reviews... and that, only because it was overshadowed by action games with adventure-cherry on top
oh and btw RotN was randomly picked... i just found out about it pretty recently that's all... it's not like i'm part of it and subtly try to promote it or smth!

But it's true that Just Adventure wrote some reviews for Larry Vales, Rob Blanc or Pleurghburg. On the review index scroll down to Just (Free) Adventures. These are all of the reviews of amateur games so far.
I know about RON from the Underdogs and I stumbled across a link on the Ambrosine page I think.

RON and Ambosine alone give a total of more that 30 adventures that several ppl might find at least interesting

The contain a database of amateur adventure games, including the RON ones.
There is another site which contains a running database of ongoing games using the AGS engine. I don't know the url offhand though for this one. It's something like www.agsadventuregames.com

By the way, I put a review on an amateur adventure in the reviews board, if anyone's interested. It's 'Robert Redford Saves the Day' (and it might be on page 2 by now).
Pardon my plug.

¿Why not reviewing them? :'( They are games, not mods, nor pluglins. Of course, when assesing you might consider that most of the games are a one-man-project.
Happy Christmas to all!!! :

Reality On The Norm is a series of games that any adventure fan will enjoy. The concept is young, but growing. ROtN is a constantly changing and evolving adventure gameworld that ANYONE can take part in. We have 40+ games now and show no signes of stopping.
For the record, I did email Randy about this some months ago. He told me he'd check it out but I never heard back from him. I can just assume he's busy - the prospect of playing through the 40+ games on the site can be a daunting prospect!
ROtN is a constantly changing and evolving adventure gameworld that ANYONE can take part in. So click your way to http://ron.the-underdogs.org and check it out.
Thanks,

OMG! I totally missed this thread -somehow...- > I've played about ten ROtN games, and they were so much fun, I still laugh of some the jokes (the chicken with the gun kills me ) Some of my favourites are "I spy", "The chef", "The postman only dies once" (excellent","Vengeance of the chicken" (), "Nightwatch". Highly recommendable. A few days ago i downloaded "Apocalypse meow", which is said to be one of the best games of the series. So, in a couple of days I will have my own opinion. :

The site's gained a number of cool features of the last 3-4 months. It's got a nifty database system that organizes all the characters, games and authors. There's a "fanart" section that is quite large, and a "fanfiction" section that is quite small (at least for now). There are also weekly polls and a forum.
Go check it out, folks. Go. go. now. go.

I think I've played through the first 20 or so. I liked the 2 games that had you as a photographer trying to get the perfect shot. Those were fun. I think my favorite character was the zombie mayor, although the chicken was a badass!
