I let that pass. It's Antarctica to be precise.

Michal can explain that.

That's my usual tactic, too.  :

2: You unlock the door?

Nah. It makes sense, thinking about it...well, it depends on how you want to interpret being "trapped". But no. You don't have the key nor do you have anything else to force the lock.

10: interesting take, but not the one I had in mind - or rather was dictated
Oh btw...the answer is closer than you might think...

1. Heaven. For each word an ordinal number creates a common phrase when added. First aid, second nature, third world, etc. So the missing phrase would probably be "seventh heaven"?

5. Whoo boy. Not a "little hoarse (horse)?

6. Er....Manatee hubris?

Yes!

5. Whoo boy. Not a "little hoarse (horse)?

Too much. In fact it was hoarse horse. I will give that point to Michal I think.  :

Half way there.

Okay, how about this - whoever trapped you will eventually let you out (or at least remove the corpse)? Assuming there is no other way to get out apart from the door.

Is #3 something and a brain?

What's "fourth estate" and why?
I forgot my sig.

No. You shouldn't assume anything...

Is #3 something and a brain?

No, this is much more silly.

What's "fourth estate" and why?

You know what? Beats me. I don't get it, either. Same with fifth column.

Maybe the room doesn't have walls? Or floor or ceiling? And there might be fifty other doors, all unlocked.

I know fifth column. It means a group of individuals hampering or sabotaging the efforts of their country. Not sure about the etymology.

It's not THAT silly. Everything mentioned is either in the room or it's not. Or let's say: there is not more in the room than is mentioned. Oh forget it...the walls are not mentioned, but there are 4 of them complete with a ceiling and a floor.

And there is no way to get out other than through the locked door? And presumably the door is locked and closed? And you're supposed to get out of this room? And what am I doing there? How did I even get there - I don't remember any such thing happening
See, if it's assume nothing, then it's assume nothing

Oh, and 4 walls don't mean it's not a pentagonal room with one wall missing.

There is another way out and it's pretty obvious when you are there.

It's an "ordinary" room.
With a locked door.
And no window.

Ok, what if the room is locked from the inside? With a deadbolt lock or the like. That wouldn't require a key.

I realize this question is poorly phrased. I've seen at least 5 other solutions to the situation, as described.
But this door is locked from the outside and is not going to open.

A chimney isn't mentioned.

Clue: Keep in mind, there is no window.
What a useless clue.
