In a video game, there are following scores:

- Ships and tanks are worth 1 point eath
- Jeeps and planes 2 points each
- Missiles and soldiers 3 points each.

How many points is a bazooka worth and why?

More easy questions:

1) Consider the following eight words: empty, almost, first, chop, fort, dirty, adopt, begin. They all share the same unusual property - which?

2) There are four categories:

   garden tools
   body organs
   gems
   weapons

A particular object is associated with each category. Together, the four objects are common to a single item - which item is that and what are the objects?

3) Consider the following words: upholster, nephew, epitaph, phrase, graphic, prophecy. One of them is somehow different - which one and how?

Errmmm ..... none since you usually use it for destruction, you don't actually destroy it?
Is this where you were heading? I don't play those games anyway.
If it weren't for the last minute... nothing would get done.

It's the 'ph', 'upholster' has both letters but it's not pronounced like it is in the other words.

Nope
Anyway you could be destroying enemy bazookas.

I don't play those games anyway.

I don't either. Forget the bit about video game, it's there just to confuse you

Yup, that's exactly it!

Aha, so .....

garden tools = spades
body organs = hearts
gems = diamonds
weapons = clubs

And the common denominator is playing cards.

Worth 4 points because the word has 4 vowels.

I'll post some soon enough after i do some research.

Okay...since nobody's posting, I'll try...though these aren't quite the right type of silly questions:

1. DUMMY

The letters from the three words below can be taken apart, unscrambled and merged to form three separate words all of which are synonyms. Can you find them?

CLIMBER MONITOR NIECE

2. Unscramble
The king of conundrums lives in the MANLIEST CAGE

3. Something Fishy!?
How long does it take for you to solve weird riddles? Time is passing as we speak...tic...toc! This one involves absolutely no academia. If you don't solve it you might be ill. As far as difficulty is concerned it's my easiest one. Can you solve this?

4. SO!
What color is her blouse?

5. Below there are sixteen numbers. Assuming that any three of the numbers may be drawn at random, what is the probability (to the nearest percent) that three numbers will be drawn whose sum equals six?

1 2 3 1

2 3 1 2

3 1 2 3

1 2 3 1

6. Judy is five times as old as Henry. In two years, she'll be three times as old, and in six years she'll only be twice as old. How old will Judy be in seven years?

7.ETS
Which one is the odd one out?

URN URA ARS RTH TER NUS

8. LET'S SPLIT
Maxwell Edison is studying a newly discovered hyperactive amoeba which multiplies at a highly accelerated rate. He places one such amoeba in a jar. After 15 seconds the amoeba splits. 15 seconds later the two amoebae split. 15 seconds after that the four amoebae split and so on. After two hours the jar is halfway full. How long will it take to fill the jar completely?

9. GOOD SAMARITAN
463512=a divine service and 3/8 of me is a system or theory. What am I?

@Eva
I wouldn't do that!  [smiley=angel_smiley.gif]
I was talking about that stupid #1.

#5
I have some questions about this one. First of all, those are technically digits, except this is a trick. But digits are numbers, too. Fine.

Second thing is, numbers which are drawn can be drawn again, yes? I can't see anything that rules this out.

According to my understanding of statistics/combinatorics/whatever - which is quite low, right now - I'd say there are 16^3 possible sequences. The "good" sequences are those with either 2-2-2 or 1-2-3.
In case of 2-2-2 there are 5^3 possible choices because there are five 2s in there.
For 1-2-3 it's 5^3 again, because each digit/number occurs 5 times.

That would make 125 + 125 = 250 "good" sequences from 4096 possible which is roughly 6%.

BUT...I'm absolutely not sure whether or not 1-2-3 or 2-1-3 or 3-1-2 makes a difference. It should...or maybe not? This always twists my mind until I get a headache. I hate this.  :

So, is it 6%?

URN URA ARS RTH TER NUS

Saturn, Uranus, Mars, Earth, Jupiter, Venus.

URA is the odd one out because those are the first 3 letters of Uranus, while all others are the last 3 letters of the other planets.
