Anyone want to join with me in a round of betting?
I'm actually participating in a CL betting game, right from the start. I don't suppose that I will get many of them right, but who knows?
I fondly remember this one very day when I got all tendencies except one and three completely correct - being the first three in the order of the predictions - and I almost thought they could all be correct...those were the days!

Enough of that. I was just damn lucky. People in my German Bundesliga betting round managed to have 4 correct (in the Bundesliga not the CL).

Ok, here it goes, I post my predictions for the opening round as entered into the competition. Join me, anyone!

Here they are (in Middle European notation
):

9/15
Deportivo - Olympiakos 2:0
FC Liverpool - AS Monaco 1:3
AS Roma - Dynamo Kiew 3:1
Bayer Leverkusen - Real Madrid 1:1
Ajax Amsterdam - Juventus Turin 2:1
Maccabi Tel Aviv - Bayern Munich 1:2 (haha)
Fenerbahce Istanbul - Sparta Prag 4:1
Olympique Lyon - Manchester United 0:0

9/14
FC Arsenal - PSV Eindhoven 1:0
Panathinaikos Athens - Rosenborg Trondheim 2:0
Schachtjor Donezk - AC Milan 1:2
Celtic Glasgow - FC Barcelona 1:1
FC Valencia - RSC Anderlecht 1:1
Inter Milan - Werder Bremen 1:2 (must do)
FC Porto - ZSKA Moskow 3:1
Paris St. Germain - FC Chelsea 0:1

If it's too much work, just write the results in the order I've written them, without the teams.

GO!

Btw, some rules (if anyone is crazy enough to join):
exact result -> 3 points
tendency (or what is that called?) -> 1 point

Optional rule:
Difference in goals for 2 points...do you want that? I mean if you predicted a 2-1 and it's only 1-0 then you would get 2 points. We don't use that where I play, but we did last year. Not sure. Of course that would mean that you get 1 point for a correctly predicted draw and not two.  :

I forgot - copy-paste is perfectly legal, too!

[smiley=boggled.gif]

You do that on purpose, Lucien!  :

Bremen will show you.
They saved all their power for this game (and lost 3:1 in Gladbach, hehe).

i've seen the thread, but i'm in a very pissed mood cause apparently espn decided not to broadcast champions league in the usa this year (or so says tv guide) [smiley=furious.gif] so i have to look into satelite asap, which will mean lots of practically wasted money... i will know for sure in about 4 hours...

CHAMPIONS LEAGUE RESULTS

ARSENAL        1-0 PSV                 Elf - 3, Luc- 1, Aya - 3
PANATHINAIKOS  2-1 ROSENBORG    Elf -1, Luc - 1, Aya - 1
CELTIC          1-3 BARCELONA    Elf -0,Luc-0, Aya-1
SHAKHTAR D      0-1 AC MILAN  Elf-1, Luc- 1, Aya - 1
INTER MILAN     2-0 WERDER BREMEN  Elf- 0, Luc -1, Aya- 3
VALENCIA       2-0 ANDERLECHT   Elf- 0, Luc -0 Aya -1
PORTO           0-0 CSKA MOSCOW    Elf - 0, Luc -1 , Aya -0
PSG            0-3 CHELSEA  Elf -1, Luc-3, Aya-1

So

Aya            -  11
Lucien        -  8
Elfstone      -  6

After a dreadfull first half Celtic had a brillaint penalty save and then equalised. Then it all fell apart. Karma came true with ex-Celtic Hero Henrik Larsson scoring against his old club.

Elfstone I see Bremen didn't do so well either. A player sent off in 5 mins (If viera scored that penalty my prediction might have been true), but hey that's football

Ok, I was being silly. Bremen played away and it's their first game in CL. Next one.

See? I'm not doing very well. This is more what it looks like when I do predictions.

Leverkusen was surprising, even for a German. Bayern as expected. Sort of. Not good what happened Anders Frisk and in consequence to Rudi's Roma.  :-/
