Hi everyone.

I'm not a regular poster on here, but I've been around a while. I'm a long time adventure gamer (just finished Missing). I've recently found a new thing that I love, Alternate Reality Gaming (ARG).

I'm sure many of you have already heard about them, but for those that haven't...

ARGs are a different kind of game that takes place primarily online. It involves immersing yourself in a story and trying to forward it through direct communication with the characters (via email, instant messaging, message boards, telephone conversations, and occasionally live meetings), clue searching, and puzzle solving. It has a great community behind it, and collaboration with the community is often paramout. Puzzles often require different backgrounds and expertise to solve.

As an Adventure gamer I was instantly intrigued when I first got into ARGs, and I've never been disappointed by immersing myself in the community. I've recently began working with a development company, Real World Gaming. They've just completed a game, called Aware, that was a lot of fun. They are currently developing some new interesting projects, and they are also funding new ARGs in development by other individuals.

So if you're looking for something new and interesting to try, if you saw Michael Douglas' The Game and kept thinking, "That would be so cool!", if you're looking for an adventure that puts you in the game, check out Real World Gaming.

And if you do decide to join one of the online forums run by the company, please send me a PM, my user name is Yliandra. I would love to know if my little message here got anyones attention.
