Hi Roberta,

You have been a huge inspiration to me.  Thank you for all the great times my son and I had playing your games.

It's not easy to design great games (I know because I've been trying myself for a few years now!)

Thanks for stopping in here.  Wow, I wrote in a forum with Roberta Williams.

All that I can offer, to both Roberta and Ken Williams, for their dreams, hard work, creativity and love for games that challenge the mind... a style and form; genre...

...that the Doomsayers and Naysayers boldly proclaimed, "Throw away your Library Card! Mark Twain and Tom Sawyer Adventures are passé... yesterday's news! "COMBAT!" and "Gunsmoke" are NEW and the Now Happenings on television! Give Agatha Christy the ol' 'heave-ho' along with your Nintendo 8-bit console and KQ5 and Final Fantasy gamepacks! RPG/Adventure is dead! Buy the NEW "
OOM-TOMB KOMBAT MORTALITY RALLY by Quake~rrr Oats!"
..........

... is a simple, [size=32]Thank You!
(King's Quest 5 and Final Fantasy#1, both NES games I still have!)

Roberta, I played my first Adventure game, Kings Quest II in the early 80's and have hooked ever since thanks to you.  This has made my day to be able to participate in a forum with one of your stature.  You not only pioneered the graphic adventure genre but also created a company that guaranteed 100 per cent satisfaction.  I am honored and humbly grateful.

Thank you for all you have contributed to the enjoyment and entertainment of us all.

WOW!!!! Roberta Williams!!!!
I can't belive this!!!
Don't listen to the stupid reviewer. KQ7 is outstanding, and it's story is amazing, and surprising!!! I love how you included Edgar from KQ6!!!
I love QFG series too!!!!
BTW i have a quest tion
:

KQ7 has 2 ends: 1. Edgar dies.
                          2. Rosella saves Edgar and they marry and lives in thera (sorry i don't remember how you write this!!!).
now, i never finshed KQ8 (very hard!!!) and i was wondering: which end did you choose?
and please make another KQ! i have so many ideas!!! Somthing like fight for the crown, that king grahm dies and a far relative clames himself the crown!!! how does this sounds? And i have many others!!!
sorry for my bad english!!!

I love it when a fully 3D adventure game comes out, a la King's Quest VIII. Don't seem to notice many posts about KQ VIII here. But don't let criticism of the action in the game get anyone down. It was about time for a 3D adventure. And maybe a new King's Quest will come out someday, in 3D of course, with all the latest graphics to bring more action and adventure gamers into the series.

I prefer all around mouselook while moving like in KQ VIII and realMyst and not the console type movement of Prince of Persia 3D. Hope it's kept in the next KQ.

Roberta,

Glad to see you.  Have you ever thought of writing or co-writing a movie script?  How about co-producing a film that you've written?

Please email me at ShadowWeaverProd@aol.com if interested.

Glad to see you on the boards.  Glad to see the boards, actually.

Wow first Jane and now Roberta. This is amazing

Makes you wonder why they say the adventure genre is dead. You only have to look at forums like this to know that there are plenty of people out there from everywhere in the world who love and play adventure games.  I really don't think it is the public or the game writers who think that - it is the people who market the games and they all seem to want to sell the same type of game. Shooters and Strategy!!!  :
I only hope that Roberta does get back to writing another game and everybody buys it - the same goes with Jane

Long live Adventure games

Oh Roberta we sorely miss you.  :'( The first computer game I ever played was Kings Quest I on my old Tandy, and I have loved every other game in the series(albeit I was a lil disappointed in
. We really need you to get back in the saddle and rock the computer gaming industry with another spectacular adventure game, it seems that companies have gone away from the fantasy adventure genre to on-line games and simulations. You can do it Mrs. Williams! I believe in you!
