Status : Online | Now I'm waiting for Schizm III. I hope that Detalion does another one. These are very lovely games.
No Schizm III in the works unfortunately. We are developing another game which is similar in style, but this isn't Schizm series game. If you liked Schizm's you should like Sentinel as well.
Some of the graphics in Aura are similar to those in Schizm - wonder if some of the same artists worked on both?
No. We are in diffrent countries.
Hope you are reading this thread Maciek! Thank everyone please for an enjoyable gaming experience!
Of course I'm reading it and I'm glad to see people enjoying the game.

I guess close to noone cares whether or not it's a continuation of the Schizm saga. It's all about the puzzles and the interface. Please tell me you are using the same FPS interface!

Maciek- you have a good advocate in Caroline. I've been sitting on Schizm and Schizm2 since Schizm is considered one of the most difficult games out there and I don't use walkthrus and I can bring myself to play Schizm2 before Schizm (harassy!)
But Carolines glowing report has made me move both of them to the front shelf!

The future ain't what it used to be!

| Deleted User | I bought Schizm CD months ago, I started playing yesterday(because of this thread) and I already quit after solving 3 or 4 puzzles. I can't see the logic in them, unless I learn a new alien language and signs.
I finished Obsidian and DarkFall last week without much help so I thought I was ready for Schizm but no.
I'm playing Simon the sorcerer now!

Status : Offline | I have just finished Schizm II and I must say I do recommend this game to gamers who like puzzlers. However, be prepared because the puzzles start off easy and charming and then get tricky.
I can't for the life of me think why the end puzzles all had to involve maths, base 4 got used early on and that threw me because there were just no clues what was required. I managed to learn D'ni numbers in Riven because they were explained. There was no such instruction in Schizm II. >
And I'm definitely taking points off the score for the really yukky puzzles at the end which involved base 12 and then converting to base 10. Really.... > If I hadn't read the walkthrough I'd have still been knocking my head against a wall by Xmas. No clues what was required..... > And far too obscure and too mathematical. > > > >
Hint for next game: keep puzzles same difficulty throughout. Apart from that, an absorbing journey, interesting puzzles, nice worlds to explore and the different daylight conditions were just lovely.

Status : Offline | I didn't like it at all and had to give my copy away because I couldn't get through it. I guess I will have to stay with Shivers for my puzzles. At least it had a story that I could follow. Games with too many puzzles that have nothing to do with the story remind me too much of board games where you move your little plastic toy from one square to another and role your dice or what ever. I have alway found all these games boring and I don't like card games ether.
