Just wanted to say that this Greystone games sounds an awful lot like the classic movie Shock Corridor, about a reporter who goes undercover in a mental institution to investigate a murder.

I wonder if the film inspired the game in any way.

I absolutely agree with the review concerning the lack of depth of the patient's psychologychal profiles. As a (recently graduated!
) psychologyst, I'd have appreciate that the game could take advantages of the psychologycal feature, which imo, adds thickness to the plot (to this plot, in particular)

And having read the review I can't understand why Malinche boast around about the quality of their games compared to free IF games. The lack of details and interaction with NPCs is something I hardly stumble across when playing games from the IF elite (Emily Short etc.).

I would guess it's because they're actually trying to sell their games, as opposed to distributing them freely.

I think they'd have to tell people their games are superior, even if it's a lie. Who would pay money for a product that's inferior to what you can get for free?

Man, that was a rethorical question
What I tried to say was that while it's surely okay to praise one's own work, calling it superior to freely distributed work while it isn't so leaves a bitter taste on my tongue.
