Brush up on those ancient code breaking skills

NB. You do have to use Google!
If it weren't for the last minute... nothing would get done.

Too bad I played this one a few weeks ago :
But it was fun! The way it worked with the e-mails and Googling reminded me of Missing.
I forgot my sig.

Hmm, did you also play this one?

Note: Requires actual copy of The Da Vinci Code (hardcover?) to solve fully.

I have yet to receive this one in the mail, it should be coming any day now.

You need your book for this site as well, IIRC.

mild spoiler:

I thought it was brilliant that you can call in the assistant, Faukman's, office and hear an automated message left by him for your next clue. I was somewhat expecting to hear someone answer the phone. I was even ready with my "sorry, wrong number" excuse just in case someone did.

And no, I haven't been to that site and will do so now, thanks!

I got it last Monday, took me just four evenings to finish
If you liked The Da Vinci Code, there's a very good chance you'll also like Missing. There is no direct connection between the two, but both deal with ancient mysteries.

I really doubt that, since that game was a sort of teaser for DVC, it came out before the book

I never tried calling the number (I somehow solved the puzzle without it) but I was wondering what'd happen if I called. Now I know! Maybe I should call just for fun

Have fun! There are just a few puzzles, but some are pretty tough.

Actually... when you visit the Swiss Bank site to access the ladie's account #, the clue tells you to look in the middle of ch. 44 of the book. I'm pretty sure this number would have been nearly impossible to guess for someone who hasn't read the book. My guess is that they changed the game a little after the book was released.

So you guessed the website that Faukman tells you to visit on the voice message to complete the game? (Again, Brown possibly changed the game a little after the release.) There are actually 2 #s, last one being a voice-message from Dan Brown.

Thanks! The last one isn't easy!

Hmm, you're right about that.

I didn't guess - I did a Google search on "Jonas Faukman". And I thought "
oubleknight" was a nice pun on "
oubleday"

Thanks! The last one isn't easy!

Need a hint?

Hey, I didn't know there was another game...It's not fair to not-Americans....And/or people who doesn't have the American hardcover version I guess....but it was still fun!
And it did sort of resemble In Memoriam. Why did they change the name anyway?

Not to mention the Manhattan area code number for that matter.

To suit and compliment the boxcover better. Although I liked the sound of In Memoriam.

Oh that. Well I somehow didn't have to call that number. And wouldn't it have been quite expensive as well....

I hope the name was all they changed.

Help!  I am trying to play the da vinci code game, but I do not have the book.  What is Marie Denarnaud's bank account number?

In other words, the first 10 digits (or eight numbers) of the Fibonacci sequence.

Da Vinci was only made an elitist artist by all his biographers.

What's art, in a nutshell?
