I want to know how obsessive people are about certain games and how they can prove it. My examples are that there are about five games i play at least once a year even though i could complete them with my eyes closed and can recite the dialogue by heart. Some of these include Last Express, Curse of Monkey Island, Grim Fandango, and the first two broken sword games.

I am so obsessive about these games that i own two copies of Last Express (my 1st adventure) and Broken Sword (my 2nd) in case one of the copies breaks, gets worn out (as in there are too many scratches on the disc which i wouldn't be surprised if that happened considering how many times i've used them), or i lose my original copy.

Let's see whether others equal or surpass my obsessiveness and don't be shy, i'm not embarrassed (well, only a little).

Oops. That makes my comment about Broken Sword in your other thread pale in comparison I guess.

Yes, there are some games I replay on a regular basis, although I don't tend to play games more than once or twice, usually (same with books).

Those are:
Broken Sword
, Monkey Island 2, Sam and Max, Toonstruck and my underdog favorite Woodruff and the Schnibble of Azimuth.
playing: Destination Treasure Island (done in two sittings, but it's nice), Syberia (ho-hum), Dracula: Last Sanctuary (on hold)&&reading: even more study papers&&listening to: this and that, plus Musicovery&&TV favorites: (currently) Pushing Daisies, Chuck, Journeyman (cancelled! grrr...), Heroes&&
all-time) 24, Stargate SG1, X-Files, Lost, House

Hmm.... Inland sure is by that post.

I can't say that I am, I've played the Gabriel Knight games a number of times - don't know how many really - and UAKM and Pandora Directive and Curse of M.I. also but as for playing old favourites once a year, no don't go that far.

I am extremely obsessive/compulsive about my games...and not at all embarrassed.  It's not like it's crack...they're games!
I have a certain set that I play at certain times of the year (I won't bore you with my schedule).  I am almost obsessed to the point where I am hesitant to introduce any new games, because they just don't compare to my "old friends".

I also have bought back up copies of my favs and have them in a fire resistant box along with my negatives from all my photos.
apparently I have a fear that a game-crazed arsonist is going to invade my home
).  I never loan out my games and don't even allow visitors to touch them (how do I know where they've been?  They could have a virus! sorry.....
)

Booyah!  Beat that for crazy!   [smiley=crazy.gif]
My name is Bethany and I'm the daughter of Gamergal/Michelle.

I'm extremely  obsessive about completing a good game even if I have to start over again and again.

I also replay favorites once a year!

I just love adventure gaming. I'm never bored, because I always have a game to enjoy. That's a very nice thing indeed!

Deleted UserPhantasmagoria was my first computer game, I have played it from beginning to end at least 5 times. I can finish the whole thing in two hours, it's short.

I don't have enough time to play my games so I stare at them everyday and I read the back of the boxes, the manuals, strategy guides and watch the screenshots...it's fun :-[

I've read the boxes of all the LucasArts games for the 15th time yesterday, I could not sleep because I kept thinking about a disturbing adventure game I've finished this weekend. I'm going to make a topic about it, until then I will keep my mouth shut.

?

Whatever you see in it Ksandra.

When I look at the painting I see a girl, naked, pretty too, swimming and being attacked by a.........a.........submarine! Hey you're right; she's being attacked by a submarine!
She's screaming for help: "HELP.....HELP......"
And then the naked girl looks up in the sky and sees something.....is it a plane?......is it a bird?.......No it's...... a plane afterall!
And then she's rescued by that strong and musculin plane.
And as a farewell to the submarine he drops some mines.
And that's what I see!

Nothing wrong here!

It's a Magic Eye picture. If you look at it in the correct way (difficult to describe, you've got to focus your eyes as if you were staring into the distance) you see a picture in '3D' - the wavy blue line is waves, above the waves is an aeroplane and beneath them is a submarine. What's easier is to cross your eyes as you look at it, then you'll see an inverted version of the picture.

God I hate those things give me a headache. You get people who stare at them all day saying I can't see it.

They are cool when you get them to work though. Maybe this graphic style can be used for the next 3D adventure.

No, there is a picture there - like I say, you've just got to focus your eyes correctly. It's a visual trick, nothing to do with psychology.

I have never, EVER seen the images in those paintings - I swear they're all fake.

Now the swirly circles are really cool.  Only the one you focus on is stationary, all the others appear to be adjusting themselves....

Now.  Obsessive.
You lot need help.  I can't play games a second time.  But I can play Pandora's Box which is pure puzzles, done it 5 or 6 times.
