Hopefully this was a JA Survey I am thinking about and wasn't a Dreamcatcher one. :
It was a pretty long survey, and asked questions such as:
Age group Household income Games purchased in a month Hours spent playing games per week Genre's played Game Themes etc.
I could have sworn this was done by JA. They might have done it at the request of DreamCatcher. I'm not sure. My memory fades as time goes by - and I'm really not that old yet!!!
The survey seemed to come around the time Randy was on his "There is a market for adventure games" soapbox. Ok, I know, he's always on that soapbox, but that time the soapbox was really big.
Of course, I could be completely off here and JA had nothing to do with it. :-/

...especially since we had a rather heated debate on how women support the fiction/adv market and those results don't seem to support that.
