A few years back, JA did a really LONG poll with all sorts of questions for adventure gamers. Are the results of that posted anywhere or is it top secret info?

Wasn't it recently resurrected?

Still adventuring after all these years!

Patiently awaiting The Last Crown: Haunting of Hallowed Isle, and Bracken Tor...

... and Asylum if it's not tooooo scary...

Actually, it wasn't really a poll. It was more of a survey.   :-/

I should get Romnut on the case! It'll be somewhere in the Adventure Discussion threads.

The best I could do was:

http://www.justadventure.com/cgi-bin/yabb/YaBB.cgi?board=HotSpot;action=display;num=1058635992;start=0#0

..but that doesn't seem like the one I was talking about.  :-/

I'll check yours.

Ok, your's wasn't it either.

Hopefully this was a JA Survey I am thinking about and wasn't a Dreamcatcher one. :

It was a pretty long survey, and asked questions such as:

Age group
Household income
Games purchased in a month
Hours spent playing games per week
Genre's played
Game Themes
etc.

I could have sworn this was done by JA.  They might have done it at the request of DreamCatcher.  I'm not sure.  My memory fades as time goes by - and I'm really not that old yet!!!

The survey seemed to come around the time Randy was on his "There is a market for adventure games" soapbox.  Ok, I know, he's always on that soapbox, but that time the soapbox was really big.

Of course, I could be completely off here and JA had nothing to do with it. :-/

It'd be interesting to see if the JA+ demographic has changed since then... perhaps JA+ could redo the survey

I'm almost positive the JA+ demographics have changed. Many more female adventure gamers now or at least more visit the site and would participate in the survey, if there was a new one.

We can be heroes, just for one day.

...especially since we had a rather heated debate on how women support the fiction/adv market and those results don't seem to support that.

Maybe we should do a new poll... and ask 3 favorite games, so we'll have a new 'top-game-ever'

Sorry to kick up an old thread, but is there any chance that this survey will be run again?

It's been over 4 years and the results were quite interesting, but I'm curious about how much the results might have changed.

I'm thinking the "About Your Computer" section may have some shifts in percentages...
Dyslexics wonder why there isn't a word that means the same thing as "cinnamon."
