My apologies if this has been posted before.

The link is to a game called 'petals round the rose'.  Apparently, the smarter you are, the longer it takes to solve!  One very important rule though, YOU MUST NEVER REVEAL THE SOLUTION!

Go ahead and post how long it took for you to figure it out though!

Deleted UserFigured it out on my fourth roll.  Took about 2 minutes.  I guess that means I'm not very smart.  :

ROFL, that's too funny!  I guess adventure gamers think differently than others.  On the site I originally got this from, the posters reported times of around 10 minutes on average if they didn't get it right away...I won't state my time.... :-/

It took me about a minute. I got it right by guessing on my first try, but didn't understand it until about another 10 rolls.

[font=Comic Sans MS]Ah,
now I see why it takes you longer to work it out when you're smarter
I was looking for a, like, you-know, system, man.

Hmmm, maybe some others just got it right with out understanding how it was done.

I did say in the original post to post how long it took to figure it out, not how long before you got a correct answer. :

Did anybody question that?

Took me about a dozen rolls to get it. Interesting, but I can't see someone struggling an entire semester to get it like the background notes said. Of course we are adventure gamers, so we should be better than most at lateral thinking, right?

Well yes which is why I posted. It had nothing to do with your post.

Yes and I can't read, like I said.

But I can at least find the petals round the rose!

Deleted UserAbout a minute. The fact that it's supposed to take longer for smart people was a pretty big hint, though.

Yea, it took me under 10 seconds (I had it on the second roll.)  I must be pretty dumb...

That must explain why I always need hints to get thru games...    :-[

To be honest, even the name of the puzzle is a pretty major hint.  That's how I got it.

Deleted UserIt took me 6 tries in about 3 min to get the answer, then 4 more tries to understand it - about 5 min.
