Yeah but then you have to clip them over and over. It's much easier just to have them yanked right out.
I really don't see what's so cruel about it. They sure as heck don't seem to mind. They do still have their back claws.
I think it's much more cruel to have them neutered or spayed but everyone seems to do that.

What kills me about these cats is that we have a scratching post and the cats are constantly scratching their front paws on it like they still have claws.

There is great big holes all along his hall.
And then theres the "presents" they keep leaving. Dead mice and birds on the doorstep not my idea of a present.

I'm quite torn on the issue of dog attacks. I would like that people don't get the "dangerous" breeds. You never can tell when a dog ticks. You always want to comfort yourself because he's so cute and nice...but it can happen, that's nature. A hot issue. Not easy to pick sides.
Hi Elfstone, Yes, she is nice...though stubborn as only Rotties can be Okay..here's my opinion, I hope you all don't mind... [smiley=soapbox.gif] I deliver flowers for my job, and I was bitten by a dog on the upper thigh..ouch! > He came around from the back of the house, and I had no where to go. My husband has always told me never to run, and this dog looked unpredictable. I was only steps from the front door, so I continued walking and said 'Hey puppy' in a very non-commital voice. The next thing I knew..he was latched onto my thigh and thank God I was wearing jeans, because he did not break the skin. I scared the life out of him because I screamed at him "NO!" really loud, and then the people's door flew open. They guy couldn't believe his dog had bit me, accepted the flowers for his wife, and told me to have a nice day? [smiley=furious.gif] I had to get in my car and check to see if he had broke the skin, and then cried and shook until my next delivery. It was no particular breed of dog, and I am still not afraid...just a bit more cautious these days.
And I thought only postal workers had dog hazards.. :-/
<Selina steps down off of her soapbox>
Hi Ana...yes, she gets along with only HER cats.... [smiley=laughing.gif] Isn't that too funny?
Hi Jo, About the dogs standing on your feet...Kira does that to me all the time..and she knocks me over...since she has no tail...she wags her whole butt and hits me right around the knees [smiley=laughing.gif] I only outweigh her by 27lbs and I am 5' 3", so I go down quite often!
I love all the cat pics that have been posted here, it is fun to see your cats and fun to see where they sleep

| Deleted User | Selina, dogs sometimes are the funniest animals ever, especially when it comes to property and reaction to other animals.
Listen to this:
A frog came to harass my dog (female), and my dog, Zoë, started barking and howling (I really like it when she howls, it's so cute!). I came down there and took the frog away.
Few days later, she started barking and howling again. I went outside, and I see Zoë sniffing and observing a plain rock. The rock had a shade of green (patina?). Zoë barked at the rock, howled at it, sniffed it, came close to it then backed away in a startlng jump backward. At first I though some animal (a snake?) was lying under the rock, but then I realised Zoë thought it was the frog! The rock did have a frog-like shape! It was so funny I couldn't stop laughing. Then I came to her and relaxed her. It was so silly yet so cute! :-*

You have a point about the spaying/neutering, but only a slight one. It's certainly not natural. A cat without claws, though, is not natural and effectively crippling a succesive cat (can't explain it). They lose their "soul" this way.
It's not easy to let all the hate flowing. Some things are hard to swallow. I try. After all, I started this whole affair and should know what to expect!
@Parrot That sleeping cat is unbelievable. It never ever got in there by itself. Or maybe it did? [smiley=laughing.gif]
Ok, some hate: I could strangle that furry bastard. She's cuter than I am! >

The cats are invading this thread. Especially now that we don't have a cat thread any more visible here. But never mind, this can be motivation for more haters!
