my first adventure game was The 7th Guest, though Im not sure if Guest is technically an adventure or interactive puzzle book?

If not then it was Star Trek TNG : A Final Unity and Broken Sword Shadow of the Templars (I got them both at the same time, lol)

But my fav type of advenures are the historically bases ones.

The first adventure I have ever seen was "Loom".
The first I've ever played was "Legend of Kyrandia".
I like the classic point'n'klick, inventory based, third- person (first- person is OK as well). Myst stle is not for me, I guess.
My all time favorite is "Broken sword: Shadow of the Templars".
I like those cartoon adventures like "Toonstruck" and "Stupid Invaders", but the serious stuf like "The Dig" or "Syberia" I & II, are fun as well.
I like oldies. Love them. For a long time, "The home of the underdogs" was my home too
.
Now I'm waiting for "Runaway II" to be out.
Do go on! I always yawn, when I'm fascinated!
