Bastich Private Detective Posts : 622 Joined: 7 APR 2004 Status : Offline	Objective: Listen to the clips and try to figure out the song and artist. Rules 1. There are two answers per clip; Song and Artist. You get one guess for each. 2. Each clip is worth 10 points, 5 for the song title and 5 for the artist. You do not need to answer both if you only know one of the two. 3. For a movie/television theme, I simply want the artist and the name of the film or TV series. You do not have to supply the song name. 4. Answers must be sent by PM. You can send as many PMs as you wish according to the above rules. Notes 1. The genres below are just basic guidelines and refer to the artist's general type of music rather than the actual song itself. 2. I do not own recordings of most of the songs and hence cannot verify the veracity of my playing. They are either figured out off the top of my head from how I remember them, or learned from online resources that are usually without proper notation and often written by tone-deaf monkeys. This means that the notes may not be 100% accurate and tempo and timing may be slightly off. This shouldn't be too huge of a problem, but I give the disclaimer nonetheless. 3. I may screw with your head by playing classical pieces in a heavy metal guitar solo style or playing a distorted rock song on a classical guitar. It is part of the challenge. They are mostly accurate. Obviously everyone has differing opinions of where the lines start and end though. FTR, #15 is an insanely popular song from that era that everyone should know.

Like always, I can't name some of them, but they are now stuck in my head for better or worse...aah, I hate/love that. Of course, the classical one is familiar, but what is the name...argh. 1 (almost sure about the band), 6 (damn classical), 8 (sounds familiar), 10 (they are all the same to me), 13 (I have a match, but that's the wrong decade...) #3 and #12 are just a matter of time. #10 will torture me, I'm sure. It is a meaningless term as far as music classification is concerned. FTR, the singer of #15 was rated one of the top ten [fill in blank] of rock n' roll by VH1...

The song was performed by the original singer in a film musical that starred two characters who were "on a mission from god" This movie was made within the last 30 years.
