Be buying that at the end of the month methinks!

Status : Online | Hi all, I've recently finished Syberia, a wonderful game. I am playing some older games now - Grim Fandango, I realized I never finished it (!), Sanitarium, and I think I'll start Morpheus. Morpheus was hard to find, but I managed to get a copy at half.com, the part of ebay where you don't have to bid.
I also have Morrowind loaded on my notebook computer. It plays quite well on my notebook, on my desktop it plays very slowly - my video card isn't good enough. I'm just at the beginning of it, for an adventure gamer it's a bit intimidating.
All for now.
Regards, mszv

Playing Law and Order, Fork In The Tail (though it is slow going) and finishing Treasure Hunter.

I knew it was going back to Electronics Boutique though, when after 3 days of playing, my saved game was still called 'whoknowswhatleveldungeonImin'
Also, I am playing Nancy Drew Secret of the Scarlet Hand. I do really enjoy her adventures.
Lastly, ah, the Sims...always good to have around in between adventures. I have 2 cats now - Aragorn and Frodo. They are so cute.

I find it boring and shallow. I love RPGs, but BG sucks. I know a lot of people will disagree. I also found FF7 quite stupid, to be honest.

Status : Online | Hmm...parts of the first BG game did tend to drag a bit (there were far too many large and open areas with nothing much in them). Have you tried the second game or it's expansion, it's a vast improvement (in my opinion). The expansion is a bit combat heavy but it nicely wraps up the overall story arc.
Japanese RPG's are...odd. They all seem to follow the same rigid storyline but with vaguely different huge-eye school-girls, rubbish midi-music and sickeningly cute...cat-rabbit-things. Not my cup of tea at all.

i finished amerzone rather recently, and posted my thoughts to the adventure newsgroup. great game, and not in the least overwhelming for new adventurers like myself.
let's see.. i then installed in cold blood, but couldn't get anywhere. kept dying as soon as i started playing. i think maybe i'm no good at action/adventure games :-/
i decided to find a "normal" adventure on my shelf, in which i would most likely not be able to die. i installed morpheus, but ran into some graphic/video issues which i didn't have time to solve, so i returned to my shelves. plenty there, but nothing was really calling out to me. finally i spotted the longest journey, which i've not yet played. i've heard just so much about this game, that i was sort of saving the best for last, afraid that if i played it too soon, nothing else would measure up. however, compared to most of my other games, it's rather recent, so i figured i would have few - if any - technical problems running it. so, i gave in to temptation, and installed it. since then, however, i've found a patch for morpheus that may've fixed the issue i encountered; i may return to that game before playing tlj. first, tho', i've got to find the time to do so :-/
pleasure being here, look forward to captivating discussion with you all

The fact that I'm no good at it That's a good enough excuse for me anyway, heh.

That's why I love them I mean, it's an entire genre that the US or European market just.. can't get to work. But in Japan, they sell by the billions. Isn't that amazing? So yeah, I love them.
Seriously though, if we're talking about RPGs, the best one I've ever played would be [glb]Ultima 7[/glb] Anyone else here tried that one? That's got a truly amazing level of interactivity

Tony Tough and Shadow of Destiny, Cameron Files 2, ROTS2 and Nancy Drew should all be coming soon.
Maybe I'll replay something...

I also played the sequel, which was slightly better, but still not really good. I'd rather play Treasures of the Savage Frontier again. Does anyone remember that game?
