I'll give the answer because it's pretty much the only guess that's left.

The hands line up 22 times in one day. They line up once every hour, with the exception of 11:00 to 11:59.

Hit me, but that is one hour excluded, wouldn't that make 23?
I'm missing something here I guess.

Hint: These next 3 puzzles have a similar theme!

A) A horse jumps over a tower and lands on a man, who disappears

B) A train pulls into a station, but none of the waiting passengers move.

C) A man pushes a car up to a hotel and tells the owner he's bankrupt.

I immediately recognized what was going on in C, since I was recently in a similar situation. I'll let someone else answer it.

That leads me to realize what's going on in A, but I lack the knowledge to provide the right answer.

I'm not really sure about B.

All are games I guess.

A is chess.
B I'm in doubt about. But it could be a model train? A toy one I mean. One of those lil electric ones.
C is monopoly.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but in chess you can't attack 2 characters at once, can you? And by the body of the question, The tower and the man (the king, I guess) was attacked.
As for the other 2, I think you got it right Eva

Do go on! I always yawn, when I'm fascinated!

You're wrong

I mean, the horse jumps over the tower(rook) and lands on a man(pawn, king, whatever)

A and C are board games, but B doesn't fit in.
If the answer is "games" I have to object. Model trains are not "games".  :

Maybe the common theme is recreational activities bought in cardboard boxes?

Except you own a chess board made of diamond (either VERY LARGE diamonds or you find a way to melt them
) and pieces from ivory!  :

That's the second pick-up line I unintentionally discovered in...what, two or three days?
I'm a natural talent I guess.

Sure, I do.  :

Now WHY does this discussion reminds me of Seinfeld? :

If you really want to nitpick, have in mind that I said they had SIMILAR themes, not IDENTICAL.

Sheesh! [smiley=boggled.gif]

Well, I could've answered "chess", but the question was "Who disappears?"

I said I lacked the knowledge because I didn't know specifically which piece would be removed.

They're all things you can buy in a toy store. How's that?

I think maybe the comma was placed wrongly...made it sound like... who disappears? Instead of....lands on a man who disappears.

The moment I see Eva and Elfstone planing a getaway together in a riddle thread, I know it's time for me to interfere, before it's too late
So, here I go again:

* The year is 1945. It's early march. Berlin.
A man, dressed in a german uniform comes in a bar. He sits down and asks for a glass of beer. The bartender runs to the back of the bar and calls for the gestapo to notify them, that there is an american spy sitting in his bar. How did he know that?
Do go on! I always yawn, when I'm fascinated!

I suppose the clue is within the text, but I say it anyway:
the man wasn't blonde!

or better yet:
he was an Afro-American!  [smiley=laughing.gif]

Yeah Elfie is one of the best of the lot.

This one could bring back some memories:

You are playing Ping-Pong and when you miss the ball it bounces across the lawn and rolls into a small but deep hole. The ball goes down too far for you to reach with your hand, and the hole bends so much to one side that you can't get the ball by poking a stick into the hole. What can you do?

I know this one for sure, but I won't tell.
I told you it's probably unfair, because I was "studying" those trick questions as a child.
