Few days ago, I read "Alice In Wonderland" to my nephew, an the book made me recall couple of those trick questions, I used to love as a kid. I thought, that they might be fun for adults as well, so...

1) How can you tell apart a male porcupine from a female (without looking at it's privet parts, that is
)?

2) How many eggs can a person eat on an empty stomach?

3)Can a man marry his widow's sister?

If you can think of others, post them.  [smiley=blahblah.gif]

Haha. No trick!

3) it turns 8?  [smiley=boggled.gif]

4) wet trees?  [smiley=boggled.gif]

Btw, shouldn't that be 4 and 5?

Another trick?

7) Like Shany said, when the cat's outside

#8 I don't know, but I can definitely say I don't need a ruler here!

Actually, to get inside the house, you need an opening, no matter if you are a cat or any other matireal substance (I hope, I spelled it right  [smiley=smile_blush.gif]), so your first guess was the right one (allways go with your intuition, I say
)

So, that leaves #1 & #8. Figure them out, and I'll find some more of this

P.S. Elfstone was right. You do not need a ruler to do #8. Now, just tell me what DO you need

1) Maybe you watch them as long as one hops on the other...and that's the guy!

All those needles...not sure, maybe they don't do it like that.

If you are realy curious about HOW they do this, and you can read russian, there is an entire website dedicated to this delicat issue

But the corect answer is that you just have to pick it up, and then put it back on the ground. If HE runs off, its a male. If SHE runs off, its a female!

The next session:
1) A satellite made 2 laps around earth. One took hour and 40 minutes, and the other one took 100 minutes (the satellite did not changed it's speed). Is it possible?

2) There are 2 heads, 2 arms and 6 legs, but only 4 are walking. What is it?

3)There were 90 apples on the oak tree. 10 have been picked up. How many remain?

Ok...does this make sense to anyone?
Is it really that nasty of a trick?

1) it's the same, yada-yada  :

2) rider and horse
3) unless you put them there, no apples on the oak tree

4) I can light a match in a U-boat or in a cave under water. Or probably a match with magnesium...?

5) my imagination

And my finger on the globe.

6) get older

Something challenging?
Well, it's probably unfair because I used to read books with riddles and trick questions as a child and from that time I still remember quite a few.
But this last bunch was new to me. I could only guess.

@Michal
Answer the question and stop being a wisecracker!

7) That's an old one.
Let's see if I remember it...
Open the fridge, put the elephant inside the fridge, close the fridge.

8 ) Open the fridge. Get the elephant out of the fridge. Put the giraffe into the fridge. Close the fridge.

Who came up with this? It's hilarious.

Here's another classic:

What's sitting in a tree with red eyes?

A stoned neigbour
A serial killer (you figure why he has red eyes, it's a family forum
)
And so on...
