| Deleted User | hihihiiiiiii , soorryy :-[ Evil Twin is only worth 5$ :-/. The game is an action/adventure with absolutely horrible controls, saving points, almost NONE OF THOSE SAVING POINTS (played 2h before I can save; one word : unbelievable), a confusing camera system that doesn't TURN WITH THE CHARACTER ??? (so you can't see anything you want, when you want it), etc...
The visuals are stylish, but with very grainy (?) so the overall impression is chaotic and gives a low-resolution feeling.
On the good points, the music and sounds are beautifuls and the general idea/story (so far) is original.
Ok, maybe not that bad...but pretty bad a little deception here, LOL The only way I see to keep playing that game and eventually finish it: GOD mode . (It's actually the first time I do that...) ALP, folks

| Deleted User | ok one last time. I finished the game this week in infinite life mode (cheat) and it was still one of the hardest game I ever played
This is definitly a plateform game with a little adventure side (tiny inventory). The story is good and imaginative, the graphics are at some points ugly and at others extremely beautifuls with smoke and lights effects. The music and ambience are always good and give to the game a little je-ne-sais-quoi.
OVERALL 7/10

Supposedly Ubi Soft has cancelled the U.S. version, but I know for a fact that I saw a PS2 Evil Twin in a used game store one day. I did not have any money with me at the time and when I returned the next day it was gone. The game really does look great, but looks aren't everything.

Gold Games 6 includes 15 games which were distributed by Ubi Soft. Some names: Gothic, Settlers 4, Evil Twin , Grandia 2, Motocross Madness 2, Pool of Radiance. I payed 25¤ ($25).
Evil Twin is the worst of them all. I couldn't even get this thing to run properly on my machine. During the game there is no option to exit it availiable other than dying. And dying takes looooong in the beginning. I shut down this frustrating game and instantly killed it. Waaaaah! This game is worth NOTHING.

I bought the game for the full money, and it was great. Not only just great, it was absoluteley marvelous. I nearly never had problems with the camera, the graphics were magnifcent, even for today's standards, there were actually some small elements of puzzles, and it was so hard at the ending you had to try... GOD MODE... tsss, you're a weakling! It was actually a game that was so good, I nearly had to cry to see it finished, and could'nt think of anything else for a long while.
So I dunno how bad your joystick is, how silly your whole 'me wanna save all times because it's easy' is, and I don't know how bad your graphics card is, but I disagree on allmost every point.
The story is great, the music is great, the graphics are great, the characters are great, it had a lot that other games hadn't.
It's not my number 1, but it is my number 2, mind you! Grrr

| Deleted User | You're entitled to your opinion of course, but it seems to me that bad controls, not being able to exit, major bugs, and only being able to save every 2 hours are legitimate complaints. Please calm down.

I agree my review is completely f*cked up, but I gave 7/10 afterall. In my book it's a good score...
Anyway, I don't know what version of the game you have, but you're lucky you don't have the "bug" of not being able to save anywhere .
And no matter how loud you cry, you're not gonna make me believe that the forest level (2nd world I think) is not the ugliest lot of texture I ever seen. But as I wrote, there is also some really cool graphics within the game...
The controls are fluids, that's true, but horrible when you try to adjust the character on a latch to jump, and in the 180deg process he moves foward and fall of the freakin' thing. (I played with my keyboard)
The camera was bad. Maybe my videocard .
I'm kinda happy in a sense that someone actually loved this game (and played it all the way through).

Status : Online | lol - the main forest world, yet that was ugly yes. I liked some parts of it tho
And I played it with keyboard at first. It is totally impossible then!
And the bug of not being ablt to save everywhere - well, where's the joy if you can save after every little succes ... It is frustrating sometimes, but I rather like it.
I'd give it a 9/10 (A 10/10 is impossible )
