On New Year's day there will be a simulcast on several digital cable channels of Point Of View and it will be promoted as the world's first interactive drama on TV. There will be a live audience in the Bravo studio in Toronto which will make "majority rules" decisions in the interactive sections combined with live internet voting for the home audience plus open telephone lines. So far, it's being carried by Book TV, Fashion TV and Sex TV. This is really a big step for for us and hopefully it will lead to other opportunities to explore interactive television.
I've also successfully put POV on the Internet which I think is a "first" in that it is a presentation of truly interactive streaming video. If you have a highspeed connection you can take a look at www.insinc.ca/pov. The first 4 (of 12) chapters are available in their entirety.
