but you can never be too trusting buying games on ebay... you have to do your homework...
remember to read all the fine print, check the seller's feedback profile, do a search for the same game (it might be offered by someone else at a better deal) and if you have any questions or suspicions email the seller and ask
i always look for the detailed description, searching for keywords such as... "original" (this goes for jewel case as well as boxed) "NIB" (new in box) "retail" "factory sealed" "boxed" (oh yeah, i'm obsessed with having the original box)
never trust somebody who just says "new" or "mint" because that can easily be applied to a brandee new burned cd...
caveat emptor... good luck!

There's a negative feedback stating as much as well. I would email the seller immediatly and warn them that if you get a burn you will turn them in and give negative feedback.

I replayed last month, and it is kinda funny when I think about the first time I played it. I didnt notice the "acting" problem, I was so impressed by the Full Motion Video back then.

I'm guessing that you just paid ten dollars for a CD-R.

I saw that another person had bought the same game from him and left a good review so I didn't expect to get a cd-rewrite.
We'll just have to wait and see what I get . :-/

I just got Night Trap last year by luck, stumbling upon it at GTZ. I played a little of it and actually had to stop playing because I was giggliing too much. Wow is the acting terrible. I don't mind terrible acting though, almost secretly like it. I gotta figure out the gameplay though, I was pretty lost as to exactly what was expected of me.

You need to trap all the ninja-like monsters that enter the house. It is a real time game, so you need to write down the time and the room where every monster appear. There is no possible way of winning the game in the first play. The vampire family will change the code of the traps from time to time, so you need to write down the room and the time when they do this, since every time you restart the game, it is a different code.
Remember that you cant let any of the girls be trapped by the monsters! Try to control your laughter!

Let us know when you get the game if it is a copy. I think that's terible and this is the reason that companies like SafeDisk make it so hard for us just to make a backup. To top it all off if we didn't have to have programs like SafeDisk and others like it our games would run twice as fast a much smoother than they do.

Status : Online | I got my original Big red Adventure copy from ebay.de
There's one listed now too:
http://cgi.ebay.de/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=4120540030&category=30295
just email the seller whether he sends abroad, and how to pay him. (You can use alstavista babelfish )
To check whether a game sold on ebay.de is in english, I recommend to look this up on: http://www.adventure-archiv.de/
My version has multi-lingual subtitles and english voices, I think the one listed now is the same.
However, Big Red Adventure is pretty hard to get it running on your PC.

I haven't played it, but I thought there was no speech in the game?

Status : Online | I've been reporting this one guy for a few weeks now. His auctions are all called "99 Adventure Games on 1 Disk" or something like that. I report all of his auctions whenever I see them. I think Ebay ended a few of the auctions, but you'd think they'd shut down his account or keep watching him, because for every one they shut down, seems like 2 more pop up.
Most of the stuff he's selling is abandonware. And, I hate to say this, but why would you pay someone for illegal software when you could just download it yourself? Just seems...silly. I'm not condoning it--just if you're going to do the illegal thing, seems like you'd do it for free.

Status : Online | A long time back some guy was selling LSL collection on CD for something like £10. I queried how this was so (expecting the obvious reason) and sure enough it was a CD-R.
eBay were informed and they said they couldn't prove anything either way so he was free to continue. How stupid are they? They have NO concern for the honest punter - as long as sales are made and commission is collected >

Illegal sellers suck.
