Nice forum, Randy! Congrats. And it looks there are many people interested. That's great!
While I wish I could say I had some great announcement to make about the current topic, the truth is that I don't.
But I promise: if I ever do, I announce it second right here (after www.allowe.com, of course! <grin>.

Status : Online | Hi Al, I know I am a 'nobody' but I have a suggestion to make anyway. It looks like adventure games are 'coming back'. The sales of Longest Journey have passed 450,000 all around the globe and Syberia is doing quite well in sales (according to Benoit Sokals interview and the fact that they are already making a second one).
Apart from that there are a lot of other promising adventures set for release in the next year. Since you are one of the people that made as adventure gamers love these games so much I was wandering if this was the right time for you to come back also. I mean timing would be a great issue in such situations and I think the time is now!
Maybe not with another Larry game but maybe with something new. I don't know what kind of game, you are the expert on this part, as long as it is an adventure.
I live in Sweden and in cooperation with a Norwegian girl we are preparing a community of people in the whole Scandinavia that are interested in adventure games. The community's main purpose will be to promote adventure games as more as possible. I promise we will put every greatest effort we can to bring adventure games were they belong.
I think we could definitely use your artistic talent in such a time. It looks like the next 2,3 years are going to be crucial for adventure games and since you are surfing this forum it means that you are still interested in them. I hope we will some magnificent creation of yours soon. If not for anything else, then for the love of the game.
Dimitris

Status : Online | HI AL!
Thanks a million for joining the JA forum. A reliable source has told me a number (large number) of distinguished "adventure celebs" will be joining this forum soon. Roberta is already onboard. This is very cool and it just may help to "kick start" the adventure genre.
GO SANTA CLARA VANGUARD!
Alright, already, you know who I am (secret please!).
If anyone missed your appearance on THE SCREEN SAVERS show on TECH TV, they can go to your initial message under this subject and find the link to the very cool video.
Al, Randy is RIGHT ......... without you and a very few other key people, this forum probably wouldn't even be here.
An earlier message suggested that a number of key owners and developers buy out the rights to their property - or buy out the company outright and go for it. Sounds good to me!
Very best wishes, Al, and thanks for being here!

I'm thinking something along the lines of Stevie Case doing some FMV sequences, while Larry gives it his best shot. Hey, I mean, Stevie's got to take into consideration just what this could mean to her career.
Besides she's got a great attitude, and I'm sure she'd jump at it. I mean it's just a thought, a bit twisted maybe, but then that's what makes Larry so much fun...
You might want to give it some thought.

So happy and awed by your presence. The very first adventure game I ever played was LSL during my lunch hour at work!
We can be heroes, just for one day.
